Native support for 6Ghz if your device and access point has it and WiFi can combine all 2.4, 5 and 6Ghz radios at once for some meta throughputs.

We’re talking exceeding 2.5gb to a single device in real world conditions (although relatively clear airwaves needed).

Really not interested in speed gains and more interested in the other stuff.

The U7 Lite is like an upgrade of the U6. It's not a match for the U7 Pro.
Yeah, it will be interesting to see how it performance against the U7 Pro's 5Ghz band given the price difference (plus its fanless if a fan is an issue for some). I find the U7 Pro 6Ghz band to be very meh.

I’m running 3x U7 Pro Max for my house and separate 2 bed Annexe. So for our house (A big converted barn) we have 2, and I’m getting very weak signal in the conservatory so think I need one more.

WiFi is a dark art

Idealy you need to go around the place with a scanner which will map out how many are required really.

The biggest issue I have at home is my insane neighbours with what seems like 20 mesh devices completely congesting the airwaves.
Just glad my Unifi stuff can use those DFS bands.

So what's the main benefit of WiFi 7?

7 is better than 6! But for home really, not a lot. Wi-Fi 7 has the option to use MLO, which can use all three frequency bands (2.4/5 & 6 GHz) at the same time. Sends packet on 5GHz and comes back on 6GHz etc, but is anyone home really that congested...

If you have >1GB internet speeds, then it would have a good use case.

Would 7 be better if you used more densely packed APs.
I'm managing with the one U6 Pro at the minute on the landing ceiling. But some devices struggle at times.
I'm an ideal world id happily have an AP in each room that only serviced that room.

I only use 2.4ghz on my IOT network, is like to use 5ghz on my main network only but at the minute it isn't strong enough so need 2.4 to reach the kitchen and garage.
If WiFi 7 would allow a couple more APs without it having a negative effect with even more overlapping.
