U7 Pro Wall turned up and its a nice unit and fairly large. Waiting on the stand for it to get it installed in it’s final location, but got it installed temporarily. Initial impressions is that it’s more capable than the u6 Mesh. I get better speeds and coverage in the kitchen than previously in the same location and seems to be more consistent. Using a wireless mesh its getting over 500Mbps which is twice what the u6 Mesh was getting in the same location.

A single U7 lite on 5Ghz Wifi 7 is performing at the levels of my U7 Pro (in the same location) on the same 5Ghz Wifi 7. The single U7 Lite is giving gigabit wifi speeds around my whole home (1250sqf). It seems more consistent than the U7 Pro at holding peak speeds.

U7 Lite is outperforming the U6+ by a decent margin. Super impressed by this little thing for the price and less power/heat than the U7 Pro.

Going to put it through its paces this week.

Set up, getting 900/100 on my phone in the kitchen, but I think my M1 MacBook Pro is still connecting to the AP upstairs as it's only getting around 450 Mbps down.

I'm not massively clued up on WiFi settings, but I assume I should change the power levels so that the upstairs and kitchen APs are on low or medium power?

I think the consensus suggests that the power levels should be reduced as the number of access points (APs) increases - but its very dependant on local conditions/Interference etc

I think it's also because my MacBook doesn't do 6E or 7, but I would have thought 900 Mbps would be achievable?

install the wifiman app it'll tell you which AP your connected to and the signal strength from the others on each channel

Start with high power, 160mhz and channel 100 on 5Ghz on one AP and work from there. Don’t have overlapping channels with your other AP, the Unifi app will warn you if there is.

In wall and ceiling APs have different signal patterns so location is key. I have a u7 lite on the ceiling upstairs and maxing my gigabit internet all downstairs.
