No I think it is more to do with how Ati and Nvidia work at different resolutions.

Ati 7xxx cards seem to have very high max frames at the settings used here. Where as Nvidia 6xx cards even in quad sli will produce much lower max frames.

If all settings are turned up to max and the screen resolution changed to 2560x1600 Nvidia become more competative.

Just people underestimate how quick the 7970 once clocked.

Stock or overclocked I think the 7970 is going to come out on top at 1080p using multi GPUs by a wide margin. At higher settings I think the gap narrows a bit. The other day I did a run @2560x1600 with every setting at max and a bit of overclocking and averaged 117 frames the screenshot is a few posts above. I think that 4 7970s at stock would beat this but not by such a wide margin as at lower settings.

Single 7970's also on top bringing up the rear ;)

If you can post up a score at 1440p with 3 GPU's enabled and, maxxed settings, I will see if I can beat it.

I have tried running at 1440p before and it just defaults to 1600p. The resolution is not available as an option. It can be entered as a custom res but it just defaults to 1600p. I am also not sure if there is a way of running 3 way sli if running 2 gtx 690s.

Just installed a new 7950 . Just a quick run straight out of the box.

CPU: 2500k @4.4

Damn these cards scale well in heaven. My core speed is 42% faster than yours and my score is 41% higher

Well my memory over clock might help a bit too but still, impressive.
Get overclocking and posting in the 7950 lovin thread ;)

Hi Guys - apologies for taken awhile to update again :) been away on business but off this week so updated the thread.

splityzyx, Locky - updated
Krono5 - ss not 1080p and GPU-Z not showing correct clocks
simulatorman - 1050p ok, 1080p no cobbles
Besty - updated but your crossfire score remains unchanged??? despite changing clock rates, single card scores increased but not crossfire
Borsch, zx|muppet, Rossi~, Nickolp1974, melvis - link to original ss please

Please don't post stuff in this thread unless you are posting an entry into the league tables. Its pretty hard trawling through the willy waving trying to find genuine entries - so apologies if I have missed any genuine entries, for the rest of you if you haven't been mentioned above then you probably want to read the OP and in particular the rules section :)

Thanks guys - some reshuffling at the top of the tables this time but nothing to shout about really - the red team are still winning this one...

Comment of the day, made me laugh but your right.

Keeping it brief; my willy waving is tomorrow with a couple new POV GTX680s Ultra Charged (best air-cooling to date in my opinion), will post single, then SLI scores stock-only.

The rules are in the OP and have been repeated a few times in thread.

It's simple.

Post in accordance with the rules and your score will be counted.

Don't post in accordance with the rules and it won't be.

dlknight is spending his time looking after this thread so try and help him out by posting appropriately.
