From personal experience i've never got into a jet game yet, even using high tier 3's, I think it might be down to you going 30 for 4 with the enemy tbh

- Yeah, strange game that one. I was on the edge of my seat getting stuck in nearly all the way through.

I laughed when they all plowed into our airfield after me in my crippled Spit just so I wouldn't walk away without dieing at least once. It was getting desperate, I was down to the two wellingtons if they shot me down in my last spit! ...bombing....shudder.

I think playing in a squad makes the game tolerable as the banter is good fun.

I'm also hoping some people will start comming into Realistic battles with me. I hear rumours that if you use premium planes you can really earn some Lions. Hows about a big green wave of OCUK Premium Mustangs rolling across a battlefield, eh?

I am always up for Realistic battles (in-game name JimpleSack). RB are excellent for earning lions, regularly get 50-75k a game .

I'm finding it hard to settle on a nation to play.

US seem to have a hard time in Arcade, where cannons seem to rule (I can't seem to do much against the horde of Yak9's which just seem superior to the airacobras and kingcobras (the 37mm on them seems much less effective than the Yak one). I'm pondering slogging through it though as the Sabre and Panther lines look amazing.

On the other hand, i've got the Premium Typhoon, the Premium Mustang and the Typhoon Mk 2b/L for British which seems to work quite nice in Arcade with stealth belts at least and can place fairly high in the team. I'm worried about the Meteor line though, as it seems the sabres and migs seem to outclass them.

I'll look for you guys tonight, I'll play either Realism or Arcade - I am just very bad at Realism IGN is Gurkhali

I've played all nations and the one that fits with my play style the most is definately the british line with tier 2 being the sweet spot.

Some people say that the british line is one of the weakest but I would disagree. If you stick with it for a while you can get good with them even though most of them tend to be under armed with 7.7mm MGs.

The Spitfire IIb has a couple of 20mm cannons and is sweet, although only 120 rounds of 20mm mean you'll need to tighten up on the reload speed a lot. The Beaufighter Mk IIV (i think) at tier 2 has 4 x 20mm but is trickier to get guns on target unless you're used to how it flys.

All the planes in different nations fly differently. If you want to get good at one nation, don't mix and match - just play one nations planes for a long period of time

I am with Defrag on that, Brits all the way for me. I tend to be a relatively competent player when flying with them, whack me in anything else and I am lucky to break even on the score board. Beautiful seeing our Spitties swooping down on those poor enemies, Defrag owns the top left

im unstoppable with my beaufighter MK X the things a beast it takes a good 10 seconds to overheat but due to my maxed out weapon maintain it doesnt overheat most of the time. I end up losing ammo fast coz of it.

I agree, the tier2 british line up is heaps of fun -the 7.7mm takes an age to bring anything down though and the reload times on the 20mm cannons is a PITA, I need to work on my reload times.

Is it crew points that you spend to improve reload times etc or does it come from plane mod research/buy?

yeah spend some crew points on reload, and spend enough over everything to get the qualifications upgraded as that adds +30 to your reload time

Strange how the number seem to be picking up! When tanks come out, that should up it a bit further.

Perhaps now when we get applications for the squadron, in the rejection message we could link to the thread and then there is a possibility we could get some more people part of the community here as well as new members in our squadron.

Is it just me, or do I have some kind of twisted streak against tanks? When tanks arrive I plan to absolutely murder them to death with every bomb, bazooka and cannon I'm packing. Maybe just for a week or 2...

DAMN!! totally forgot there was a 75mm weilding beast out there. what nation and tier is that in????........please say american or british. all my other nations are pretty low tiered at the minute!!
