Love the game so far, however it's damn difficult to do anything because its impossibru to kill anything with the ****ey start tanks :(

2 questions though:

1. How do you make your tank go faster? It says my tanks top speed is 40kph but it only seems to go about 16 :(

2. I'm guessing the only way to get the gold credits is to buy them with real money?
 
1. Top speed is the maximum capable, not the maximum the engine can accelerate to. AMX 40 is a good example since its max speed is about 50 but you'll never get higher than 20 on flat terrain. With a steep slope you can hit 50.

2. More or less. You can get em through clan wars but thats not really feasible.

Damn these 2 events. First the birthday event which had the SU-85 and SU-100 at half price, so I grinded the SU-85b, got the SU-85, then spent 30k free xp researching the SU-100 to buy that while its cheap. Now the next event has the SU-152 for half price! Gonna get a 3 day premium and grind the SU-100 to pick that up too.

The figures you see in the stats pages are based maximum crew skills and max equipment and modules.

So you need 100% crew skills + vents + strong coffee/cola/extra rations + top modules

Even then, as Evil states - on flat ground you won't reach that speed. Downhill on concrete you might. Grass, marshes and water/boggy ground are all designed to affect the speed and turning of the tanks.

It's a bit like adverts on TV saying you'll get 5 years of use from something, only to find out that sure - if you're sat in a laboratory with ideal conditions you will !
 
Well I caved and bought the Type 59 from the gift shop (£22 :eek:). Its true, that thing really does print money, even without premium. Only the worst possible game could you not get back your repair costs.

Now at least I won't have to worry about not having enough credits for the IS + SU-152, but I've got a 55k grind on the SU-100 first and I'm gonna buy up a load more equipment, mostly dismountable ones, while its half price.
 
Just 2 more things...

Is it normal to get a rather large fps drop when aiming down sight? (I go from 60+ to about 15-20fps)

And is there any bullet/shell drop over distance at all?

i am in a similar position, got around 40k xp to get on my su100 to get the su152.
i still have the stock gun, do you find you get a lot of 0 penetrations?
need about 20K xp on my KV3 to get the IS, but i have 1.3mill in bank, just need to unlock them.
dont forget to clear out your depot, i raised 600k from selling old guns, turrets etc... on old tanks i dont have anymore

also will say no, not normal, i game fine on a HD5850.
dont forget, over a very long distance, if using AP shells, they wont penetrate as much, as they will be at a slower velocity the further the tank is away from you.
just watch your shell, on some guns i have noticed they hit just below the crosshairs at a long distance, just raise it a little, some other guns, they are perfect,

Also, if you haven't noticed yet, Type 59 (plus 100 gold and garage slot to put it in) is available in the gift shop for £22, if you missed out on it 1st time round and regretted it. :)

Finally, if they bring back the T-127+400gold package in the gift shop for £2.51, get it. Once you've got it in your garage already, the next purchase gives you the gold value of the tank, 850 gold plus 400 gold, total 1250 gold....for £2.51. That's about 25% cheaper than the gold you can get on the 30,000 gold for £84 pack.

I stocked up last night, but they seem to have removed it now. You must have the tank for it to work though, but its not a terrible wee thing. Like a bouncier Tetrarch, but at Tier 3. Nothing special though.

The T14 + 1000 gold package for £5.03 was equally effective in terms of gaining gold, if you wanted that tank instead. All gift shop tanks come with garage slot. You can only do it 6 times per day....limited by your ability to delete tanks.

Shout out to Le_Petit_Lapin. Didn't notice you were in that game till I read the awards and saw you'd got Steel Wall (Type 59). Lowe's trying to push middle then stopping, a great shooting gallery :D
 
I've got a ton of free xp to spend after the 5x bonuses this week and I'm not sure what to spend it on. I was planning on using it to unlock the E75 but I already have IS8/4/7 heavy tanks and not sure I now want another.

So choices are spend it going from S-51 to Objekt 212? Unlock the French lights? I can get all the way to the AMX 13 90 iirc Or put it towards getting T-54 (via KV-1S, KV13)

Low tier french lights are awful, I'm just finishing up the amx40 atm and it really is dire.

Saying that I just had my best game in it before I'm about to junk the thing for an amx12t
