would be inclined to agree with Delboy, the IS3 is a fantastic tank if you play aggressively, but more conservative players (like myself) might benefit from the fantastic frontal armour and good penetration, damage and accuracy of the Tiger II, both the Tiger II and the IS3 are reasonably soft side on, tend to find the KV4 is more sturdy when taking hits from multiple angles, had a fantastic slugging match with two Type 59 the other day with them dinging me constantly from the front/sides and my 107MM slicing through their frontal armour like butter, good times, shame the KV4 is so GOD AWFULLY SLOW! :D
 
IS3 vs. Tiger 2. I agree with Delboy in that the is3 is more for brawler style players (such as me), whilst the KT is more suited to defensive players who like to sit back. I have both in my garage atm, though I prefer the is3 overall I still enjoy the Tiger 2.
 
High tier german heavies (theoretically) have strong side armour which lets them pull off positioning themselves at an angle around a corner with there front covered and side exposed at a high angle so they can shoot past the corner and bounce/tracksorb incoming shots.

Lucky you Gashman. I'm still using the 122 on my KV-4 so its penetration is laughable. 175mm average is still enough to pen a Type in the right place/angle but fails miserably against most tanks.

the IS3 will suit my aggressive manner, so i will probably go with that, also u see loads more of them, so for them to be so popular, they must be good.

also have the KV-4 unlocked as well ;)
but i am going to concentrate on the IS line and the USA heavy line for now
 
I love the Tiger 2, over 450 battles and it is a great tank, especially when angled. IS-3 is the better tank though. It has it all, quick and agile, great turret armor, OK hull armor, cracking gun at Short - Mid range (High alpha rules all with great pen). HE also does more damage as its a 122mm vs 105mm. Oh not forgetting magic side armor that absorbs lots of shells :)

IS-3

406 Games, 65% Win Ratio, 47% Survived, 1009 Average XP, 2859 Max XP

When I said he does more damage i meant vs the tigers 105mm using he.

Try to use ap whenever possible. Was just stating that due to the size of the round, if you have to use he its not too bad.
 
anyone else having problems starting the game ? The launcher starts then just hands, PLAY button is greyed out and I have to end task it to stop.

Ive uninstalled the game and tried to install again but same problem ?
 
Had issues tonight with lag - similar to a couple of weeks ago when there was lag and disconnects, started one game and it was unplayable so logged out - apparently some issue with BT

that worked.

I think upgrading from 2012 to Kaspersky IS 2013 has screwed it up. I've uninstalled KIS now, run ccleaner and reinstalled WOT but the launcher is not having it.

Forgot about running the WOT.exe. Thing is now when 8.0 comes out will need to download full install unless I can get the launcher working again.

If I browse to the url it mentions I get "Bad Request"
 
Just noticed all the posts about BT and WOT. Loads and loads of posts in WOT forum and BT forum about BT users not being able to play WOT due to lag and disconnection. Some have not been able to connect for a month.

WOT are washing their hands and saying its BT's issue.

Bit bad practice as it peeves their "customers" so they may take a hit on premium payers.

On BT Infinity 2 and I have not had any issues apart from the launcher one. I got a response to my launcher ticket and they were not very helpful said it was the BT problem (which it isnt) and said nothing they could do.
 
Sounds like you've just been lucky. I've been having issues with BT/WoT now for a few days - I certainly won't be renewing my premium account until this settles down.

Same issue here unfortunately. Yesterday around midday I had this problem and the day before. I still get a pause and red once in a while, then it goes back to normal (much better than overall lagg).

Just checked mine and it is the same. You are probably suffering from a similar issue to us (I don't start WoT from the launcher). Maybe though check the settings in the Launcher and untick the torrent option, see if that fixes it?

Cant get to settings in the launcher no buttons/menu works.

Looks like I have been lucky, although at the moment I play after 10am and sometimes as late as 1am.

Have a look at this its a page I sometimes check at work for BT outages.

Look at all the cable theft. It made me laugh.
I`m used to seeing the odd place where its been nicked but 10 areas !!!!
When I used to work for a Business ISP the main Sheffield to Manchester section was always getting nicked. Thing is it can quite often take a day or two to find the missing section because they sometimes have problems finding the break.
