** Official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Thread **

IN TBC you couldnt go into some dungeons unless you had a fully geared Tank who knew how to kite properly and DPS and healing to match.

Name of the level 70 dungeons in each zone has slipped my mind but on heroic you needed to have you wits about you even with full BT or SCC gear you was looking at interesting pulls with CC and all that now its just nuke this nuke that and bang all dead

Shattered Halls and The Shadow Labs heroics in TBC were damn hard on release. :)

@RoboSprog
The top 5 or so guilds in TBC were no less skilled or MMO mechanics attuned then those raiding today. The guys attempting the world firsts then were every bit as hardcore (I would say more hardcore) then any raiding nowadays.

I had a Finnish friend in Ensidia the top guild in the world back then, and the time he put into the game back then was frankly insane.

World of Warcraft: Mists Of Pandaria - Expansion Pack - PC @ £24.95 inc VAT

CO-078-OK_400.jpg

Alliance warships prowl the seas. Horde armies thunder across Kalimdor. Tensions between these factions edge closer to erupting in a savage war that threatens to consume all of Azeroth. Against this backdrop of impending conflict, an uncharted island mysteriously appears...

Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation… or will the battle to control this breathtaking new land push the Alliance and the Horde over the brink into total annihilation?

Blizzard Entertainment's Mists of Pandaria, the fourth expansion for World of Warcraft, unveils an entirely new continent for players to explore and reintroduces the enigmatic pandaren as a playable race. All but the bravest pandaren explorers have been hidden from the world for thousands of years. Now, in the aftermath of the Cataclysm, Pandaria's heroes are stepping forward to declare their allegiance to either the Alliance or the Horde.

Mists of Pandaria also introduces an exciting new player class: the monk. Pandaren masters will share the extraordinary secrets of their ancient martial arts with members of both the Alliance and the Horde. Depending on how they choose to channel their chi energy, monks can be effective at dealing damage, tanking, or healing.

Even more content and features await as players journey to the new level cap of 90, including flexible scenarios for smaller bands of adventurers, challenge modes for fearless dungeoneers, and strategic companion pet battles for your pint-sized pals.

Key Features:

- New Playable Race -- Pandaren: Adventure through Azeroth as World of Warcraft's first neutral race and decide whether to side with the Alliance or the Horde.

- New Playable Class -- Monk: Unlock the secrets of pandaren martial arts and do battle as a damage dealer, healer, or tank.

- Level Cap Increased to 90: Learn potent new spells and abilities while exploring uncharted zones and taking on challenging new content.

- New Zones: Explore the lush Jade Forest, treacherous Kun-Lai Summit, and other exotic areas of Pandaria designed for high-level characters, and uncover the mystery of the Wandering Isle.

- Scenarios: Join up with some friends to achieve a common goal, such as mounting a defense against invading monsters, in a flexible new type of PvE challenge.

- Dungeon “Challenge” Modes: Master the ultimate five-player time trial and earn prestige rewards in a new dungeon mode that will put your resolve and coordination to the test.

- Pet Battles: Challenge other players’ companion pets with your own critter collection in a new tactical mini-game, and find out who's king or queen of the pint-sized battlefield.

- New Talent System: Customize your character to suit your play style with the newly improved talent system.

Only £24.95 inc VAT.

Excellent price, will be pre-ordering!

Oh man I went through his videos and found a video of my guild Windwalkers killing Gothik major dose of nostalgia here lol this is the same Warlock as in the previous vid but just when I played with him in vanilla.

For anyone wanting a taste of a mid tier vanilla Naxx 40 man boss this shows the level of coordination needed. If any of the CC chains in this video go wrong we wipe, the amount of planning that went into some of these encounters is crazy. I finish top of the damage meter. \o/

Brings a tear to my eye. :)

Shattered halls heroic pre nerf was silly hard. I remember as a shaman it was damn hard to get into heroic groups unless healing because of lack of cc. Hell when my guild first started, some fights we even used 2 healers lol. I miss those days.

Never said that they weren't less skilled, I'm saying that the average skill has increased for everyone from vanilla/tbc which would make up a large portion of the game's population. They developed more than the others and retained an advantage still.

Vanilla raids looked so beautifully amazing. I'm v sad that I missed out on both Classic and TBC and only started playing last Christmas >.<. TBC looks like the best expansion to date in my eyes, confirmation?

TBC for me was the Best but i never played Vanilla as dinged 60 1 week before TBC

Yes Shattered Halls and Shadow Labs oh my days silly hard it was at the stage id pull to CC with stun to nuke 1st mob then pick up my stunned target and i was healing :D

I think 1 problem that maybe you get now that you never got before was Damage mitation, every class now has it where as before you relied on healers etc to use all spells etc but now every class has a "run and hide" button.

I dont know Cata kept me interested for about a year then just found DS boring, we was only raiding 2 times a week for 3 hours a night and with a few nerfs i think we was 5/8hc in TBC days that was unheard of you wouldnt have got out of Kara doing that

Thats how the days changed now wether that is ofr good or bad only Blizz can say with subscription they have lost/got ????
