** Official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Thread **

Savage Roar is returning to the Wotlk version (+x% all damage instead of just auto attack damage), meaning it's critical for damage output and it's just a pain to keep it up in PvP while still trying to use other abilities.

Also the loss of feral charge (unless you pick wild charge talent which means no passive run speed buff) means less mobilty which has always been a feral strong point.

The separation of bear and cat into two distinct specs probably hurts ferals survivablity but no idea how much atm.

WHAT.
wow, I've not been keeping up with MoP news because I'll get carried away and know everything before its released, which sucked when cata released so I'm trying to not learn too much, but feral charge loss insanely sucks. The savage roar is better imo, higher crits with ferocious bite, I prefer it like that honestly, you dont really get time to auto attack a lot in PvP anyway.. + bear + cat split sucks yeah :/

Players and Friends,

Even when you are in the business of fun, not every week ends up being fun. This week, our security team found an unauthorized and illegal access into our internal network here at Blizzard. We quickly took steps to close off this access and began working with law enforcement and security experts to investigate what happened.

At this time, we’ve found no evidence that financial information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names were compromised. Our investigation is ongoing, but so far nothing suggests that these pieces of information have been accessed.

Some data was illegally accessed, including a list of email addresses for global Battle.net users, outside of China. For players on North American servers (which generally includes players from North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia) the answer to the personal security question, and information relating to Mobile and Dial-In Authenticators were also accessed. Based on what we currently know, this information alone is NOT enough for anyone to gain access to Battle.net accounts.

We also know that cryptographically scrambled versions of Battle.net passwords (not actual passwords) for players on North American servers were taken. We use Secure Remote Password protocol (SRP) to protect these passwords, which is designed to make it extremely difficult to extract the actual password, and also means that each password would have to be deciphered individually. As a precaution, however, we recommend that players on North American servers change their password. Please click this link to change your password. Moreover, if you have used the same or similar passwords for other purposes, you may want to consider changing those passwords as well.

In the coming days, we'll be prompting players on North American servers to change their secret questions and answers through an automated process. Additionally, we'll prompt mobile authenticator users to update their authenticator software. As a reminder, phishing emails will ask you for password or login information. Blizzard Entertainment emails will never ask for your password. We deeply regret the inconvenience to all of you and understand you may have questions. Please find additional information here.

We take the security of your personal information very seriously, and we are truly sorry that this has happened.

Sincerely,
Mike Morhaime

Poor, poor show.

they have just buffed feral some what.

survival is back a bit in the form of Surv Instincts and Frenzied Regen for both Guardian and Feral.

Also, energy regen has been slight buffed. The spec is still weak on actual damage though compared to some other classes.

Detailed changes to Warlocks would probably be a book since they are hugely redesigned.
WoW Insider will be doing guides to all the class changes over the coming weeks so probably best to wait for that, all classes still getting lots of tweaking on beta atm as well.

do a google search for preach gaming or search on youtube for mikepreachwow - he has class guides and a whole lot more content from the MOP Beta, and is also a spot on guy :)

Half thinking about giving MOP a go. Not sure if I will but if anyones got a scroll and a half chance at a reward, drop me a trust.

any1 have any ideas about the warrior changes and what they are like. i am currenty 62 with full pvp gear (looks awsome) this is goin to be my main out of 4 85s. loved my dk and has been my main for a while with a shammy alt. i have been doing some of my hunter and i love it but aint got the gear just been messing about with pets etc haha.

as of right now, pretty poorly. the class is fun etc but the damage being done is aparently rubbish, that being said Bliz have not finishe class balancing apparently, so i would not worry. their a fun class to play though :)

warlocks have some hefty changes coming in mists, so so many, every spec will work differently than it does now. also i've found my lock very fun in 4.3, they are hard to get as high dps as some of the others on most bosses like spine or warship, but i've been getting ranked on stuff like morchok, ultra, hagara and pretty happy with it. things are gonna get very strange on mists release.

Oh also, started levelling a Druid last night, had to name him 'Tedthebear' after watching the film yesterday (Very good film btw, would recommend) and it was so fun to play. Fully loomed minus weapon and trinket which I'm working on and got to level 18 in like an hour playing time.. gonna wait a little bit before going into dungeons as a tank though as it's so sketchy at this level, no AoE moves or anything to build rage before going into combat etc so meh, will just queue as DPS and quest in the meanwhile for dungeon achievements. We'll have to see what happens by the time MoP comes around and see how Kitty's are doing then.. if not I'll just be Guardian/Resto

Yeah I was playing as a Bear on the Beta, it's the only time I've played the beta since I got it in April and I was hooked for a good few hours, AoE damage is insane
