** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

Got in now, august/july 2005 account, I was in the alpha with a lot of people on here who all got banned but I can log on just fine, will give it a few days now.

and yet you can see the whole thing on a yogscast video. I cant see why theyre being secretive. To be honest not terribly impressed, i thought monks were meant to be a whole new mechanic but essentially its rogue points. Doesnt make me feel the urge to play but I did only quit last month.

It makes them feeling terribly special about something that's been looking very average so far.

Got my beta invite today. Going to give it a day or 2 before playing though because when I logged in the number of pandas in the starting zone made the client crash.

Ah, I had that at first. I turned my graphics to low, turned name plates off & then /target master & used the keybind for interact with target. Once out of the main starting area it's much better.

I do love the cute pandas :D

As the ultimate jaded Vanilla player I'm still in stunned disbelief that so many players are in an excited frenzy to play... some furry-fantasy panda characters. How the hell did the game get to this? This is lunacy.

Some people in Vanilla keep going on about the brewmasters, there was a quest in the Barrens. Blizzard listened to them and ran with the idea.

Played some more over the weekend, my monk is lvl 57 now. Playing as Windwalker (Melee DPS) and quite enjoying it. Essentially it's a rogue without stealth and lots of mobility, but still different enough that it feels relatively fresh as a class!

Still LOTS of bugs with the beta build at the moment, but we are in early days and just have to put up with them and report them as they crop up. Annoying that they don't have the in game reporting feature that has been in previous betas, but I guess with around a million people now having access, monitoring those would be a logistical nightmare!

Got my invite on friday (previous banned in cata beta fiasco :p ), apart from the numbers of people playing the panda starting zones and the obvious issues you can have when trying to hand in a quest with a few hundred people over the NPC, Ive been enjoying the little i have played.

The panda starting zone looks lovely and shows that theres a bit of life in the engine yet.

I actually enjoyed the whole panda starting experience, its all over too quick ofc and pretty much once my panda arrived in ogrimmar i gave it a break.

Moves across 3 of my 85's (warr, Shaman, Hunter), and only just starting to play through the 85 starting areas.

All in all its very promising for me so far, apart from the inevitable tards spamming chat with their lovely backside jokes .

can some one explain how drastic a redesign of talents is coming and why they keep changing them so much?

I had a beta invite but didnt use it or havnt.

I am strange and like to wait, hate seeing games half finished and not finalised :(

I am going to try and play a bit more over the summer and get back into it before MOP comes out. i just hope it dont die a death like Cata did for me or i think ill quit the game full stop :(

Must confess I haven't checked up on it lately, but if I remember rightly the original idea was that every fifteen levels or so players would be given a choice of three skills for their character. This might explain a bit better:

One of the reasons behind this change that I remember reading was to get away from there being a widely-available 'cookie-cutter' best spec for each class ... although I'm sure the likes of Elitist Jerks are working on that, if they haven't nailed it already!

To you maybe obviously not to many other people, either way it doesn't bother me.

I'm not salivating at the prospect of playing a pandaren, mainly the monk class as it's an interesting concept.

However it will be interesting to see how they flesh out the pandaren lore.

Totally with you on this dude.

Some of my best gaming memories are the times when I've installed a brand new WoW expansion and worked through the zones with my proper character.

The expansion is the basis of the content for the 18 months after release, and people get bored of it quickly enough as it is without playing it for 3 months before it is release with copied characters and premades.

Yup and i am **** bored of Cata now and have been for 6 months :p

Still play twice a week and close to 5/8 hc in DS but where as i would have done all achievments in the 5 mans i think i have done 10 total :(

Never done a beta and this is my 1st invite.

I still enjoy aspects of the game but i am on a populated server now and could do a number of things i couldnt do on my last server but i have failed to bother.
