** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

Cloth would be fine for a healing monk, leather would be better but use what you can. I leveled my Death Knight to 80 (tanking in RDF) wearing cloth heirloom chest and shoulders just for the +XP.

You get some smart/silly comments about why you're wearing cloth. But at the time I only had enough JP to buy 2 heirlooms for the rest of my characters so cloth it was!

Doesn't really make a big difference. The cloth armor often had better stamina than the out of date green plate the dps Warrior was wearing but rofl omg it's cloth l2play noob tank.

Yea it would be noob tank, stamina is not the be all and end all of stats

I suppose if you had a decent healer then it wouldnt be a problem ha-ha I know we and my brother are making a group up one is going to be tank and the other healer so it wouldnt be a problem as long as we understand eachother ha-ha normally i have him on comms too.

Roll your eyes all you like. The amount of avoidance on gear under level 80 is negligible, unless you're playing a different game to me (maybe that's just my wishful thinking) :)

You would have gotten the same from me. It isn't just about stamina it's about damage mitigation. No fun for the healer if you're taking stupid amounts of dmg per hit.

well it beats standing round doing nothing - or not much at all really.

Keeps you on your toes :D

The neglible gain in stamina is not worth the drop in armour (quite important as a tank), not to mention the loss of 5% of your primary stat.

I'm not disputing any of that, and never said that's not the case.

I wanted to get to 80 as quick as possible and had two +10% XP items so I wore them, if that's okay with you?

What i'm picking at is your point about someones gear having less of a singular stat somehow affecting a persons ability to level criticism at you.

And why should a groups performance be hindered by your "wanting to get to 80" as quickly as possible, if you're using said items whilst grouping with others they have more than enough reason to call you a "noob tank".

That I don't mind! What is annoying is when you get blatant non-tanks (wrong spec + gear) queuing for the tank spot because it's instant, when they're clearly DPS. If someone puts the effort in to tank and had at least spec'd right, it's fine with me if they're the worst tank alive. :)

£30 for normal £40 for deluxe, I'd stick with blizz, heard they banned a few CDKeys from other places.

Oh yeah, does anyone know how to start up dailies for factions for gear, those charm things etc? I've never really done dailies before and with it being my first expansion I don't really know wheres dailies are normally located nor the concept of unlocking them

when you're 90 and you head to the panda place theres a guy that starts the chain for you, just wait until then.

Panda place as in where the portal in SW takes you to? The Paw'don Village?

Vale of eternal blossoms, the middle zone in pandaria, next to jade forest, bottom right corner is a place called Shrine of seven stars, in there, I'm alliance so it may be a different city in that place you need to go to, thats the new panda city.

I'm really enjoying levelling up my Pandaren Monk. This is the first time I've levelled up a character since the Cataclysm too so seeing how they've re-done the quests is really good. It's also my lowest level character in a really long time and going through Ragefire again at an appropriate level is a right laugh :)

Took a few hours but got my mount =D
screenshots were a bit big so I had to spoiler them.
