***Official WoW Cataclysm Thread***

It's a shame, I used to love this game, but the direction they started to take the game during TBC is against everything I liked about it.

10 man and 25 man raids now give the same loot and are on the same lockout timer in cata. :/

The really sad thing is, even with all these cheap changes people will still complain and probably do apauling in high end instances. 10 man high end raid = everyone needs to be awake.
 
Friends and family alpha (what has just started) is under NDA, will probably be some leaks though.

Beta (which is invites like starcraft 2 beta) won't be under NDA, expect information overload when that starts.

How's the BETA working this time around then? I remember for WOTLK BETA you could apply for a BETA key in account management, but it seems you can't do this anymore.

Im hoping that the expansion will be enough to entice me back into the world of azeroth.

Found out that the warhammer 40k MMO being developed by THQ will be unveiled at E3 so that might be enough to keep my paladin on the shelf.
 
Achievements
There aren't a lot of new achievements, but it looks like you'll have to explore everything again.

* Surveying the Damage - Explore the following areas in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdom to see the changes wrought by the Cataclysm.
* Level 85 - Reach level 85.
* Explore Vashj'ir - Explore Vashj'ir, revealing the covered areas of the world map.
* Cataclysm Dungeon Explorer - Discover the entrances to the following Cataclysm dungeons



New Titles
A couple of strange new titles have been added, no more details at this point.
