** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

Frostmane is good (where I play), but there can be queues in the evening.

Its the most balanced Horde/Alliance server I have been on, and I've been on LOADS.

I play on Frostmane too, it's good except for the queues in the evening and the ridiculous number of Swedes on the server.

Just downloading the 5gb patch now. Returning from a break that lasted most of WotLK, frigging hated this expansion, hopefully Cata will take the game a step in the right direction.

Gonna join frostman, but i changed my mind on being a paladin. Ive decided to be a blood elf priest.
What i hope my experiences will be like with a priest is that ill be able to join parties really easy. As soon as i start the game and get my first healing spell. I would go up to a random and say "hi fancy a healer to follow you around". And thats basically it just to pretty much play 99% in parties, would that be a good way to play?

Monster come join frostman if you want ill help you :)

Don't need help thanks :) Will just be sitting idle in Dalaran finding a guild and then powering to 85 on release.

You can level purely as a healer but you'll be mostly doing it through the dungeon tool and miss out on a lot of quests. You'll find walking up to randoms and asking them if they want a healer probably won't yield as much XP as just killing the mobs yourself.

So whats the point of helping other players if you get less xp?
I guess its only useful if its a hard quest by yourself.
Personally i think ill stick to my idea of just helping everyone i think ill enjoy the game more that way.

I'm leveling my priest as disc, leveled to 15 then 100% dungeon finder. At 48 atm. Going quite well tbh.

The idea is that as a group you get the quests done quicker which = more quests = more experience.

My main is a holy priest and you won't struggle to find groups as a healer for dungeons. The problem you will encounter, and this isn't anything to do with the class you choose,is that most people I've encountered simply want to power through content to level as quickly as possible.

My advice is choose the class / race combo you *really* like the look of then try to get into a social/levelling guild.Guildmates tend to be way more patient than randoms. This will allow you to explore your class at your own pace with a friendly group.

It depends on how long the fight is, Arcane has the best DPS ingame for short fights due to it being completely imbalanced at the moment.

Overall though, provided you have semi-decent gear, Fire is better all round due to its AoE in my opinion and is far more fun to play.
