well its an expansion so why would they give you free game time ?

They know people will buy it without and pay full wack (like me :p) so why would they do anything but.
They have a huge fan base and as such they can just do what the hell they like to make lots of money lots and lots of money :D

I have to say I would do the exact same thing if I was in there shoes.

im not prepared to buy an expansion and gametime just to find out i dont want to go back to wow again where as if it was just the expansion with included game time i would probably try it on the offchance

It sounds like you may have had a corrupted Part 3 file (~770MB) or for whatever reason the installer wasn't seeing it, I've just downloaded a 5.3GB package which included 3 different parts and it all installed locally.

The installer is now downloading another 1.2GB file though... 6.5GB for a patch. :eek:

Well, I decided to try running the installer that came with a fourth part and it's installing fine up to now, currently at 78%, so maybe the Blizz downloader just couldn't identify the third part or something.
 
So for the next patch when everything changes, the world, race/class combo's etc. are we gonna need to download another **** ton of patches/data? Or does this big update contain everything needed and it's just a case of an 'updater' type thing for the game changing patch?
 
Has anyone else opened up the new launcher only to be hit with a total download of 7.4 gig?

I thought it was only 1.29 gig that had to be downloaded via the new launcher? Why have I got an insane amount to download?

might wait a few days.

Done a few heroics on my Ret Paladin, with a not very good rotation and only OS ICC10 gear and no reforging done I was hitting around 5k.

It's all pretty irrelevant, everything is balanced for lvl 85 of course classes are going to be OP and while others went down in DPS, shouldn't expect less from the official forums though. Always full of QQ from mostly uninformed people.
 
i know but its funny.

i was hoping to be a feral kitty worgen druid but i have serious reservations about their viability in cata. They seem to be concentrating on boomkin and resto as the viable druid specs.
