** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

Tier 1 - Molten Core
Tier 2 - Black Wing Lair/Molten Core
Tier 3 - Naxx 40

Tier 4 - Karazahn/Gruul/Magtheridon
Tier 5 - Serpentshrine Cavern/The Eye
Tier 6 - Hyjal/Black Temple/Sunwell

Tier 7 - Naxx 10-25/Obsidian Sanctum 10-25
Tier 8 - Ulduar 10-25
Tier 9 - Trial of the Crusader 10-25
Tier 10 - Icecrown Citadel 10-25.

Basically it's sets of gear acquirable only from raids, Molten Core was the first, hence it is the first "tier" of raiding.

tsk tsk T2 legs dropped from Rag. Post is flawed! :p

Can get full T10 by doing heroics every day now, what has the game come to.

I raised this same point in SW chat not two days ago. Half the convos were about the good ol' days when this was so, and that cost x amount of G or needed quests to obtain. I chipped in with the observation that the thing I missed most about the good old days was that back then there were no good old days for people to whine about. I played for a month or so soon after vanilla release, but since I started playing about 2 months ago I've heard nothing but bitching about how the game used to be so much better. If you're that disenfranchised, cancel your sub and move on to something else. By far the biggest issue with Warcraft is the community, and a big part of that is how much time people spend whining about the game.

By the way, although appearances may indicate so, I'm not targeting this at you specifically, Strife. You just happened to have the most recent relevant post I could quote, and I apologise for any offence caused. Of course, if you're not actually one of the ****-ant whiners I'm referring to and I've just taken your post completely out of context, you have no reason to be offended anyway and my earlier apology still stands.

Just about everyone had T10 gear anyway.

I can fully understand Blizzard's angle on this considering the expansion is a month away and people want roughly the same level of gear for leveling up.

Bad players will still be bad players no matter what gear they are wearing, dont worry too much about it.

Oh boohoo it's only pixels.

Obviously, but you can understand his minor annoyance considering it was somewhat 'harder' to get previously and hopeless people just get it handed to them now.

It's nearing the end of this expansion, so tbh it really does not matter.

Those that have worked hard for their T10 have had it much longer and as such have been able to see a lot of the end game content earlier. I really do not see the problem here.

They are just giving those who are not as "hardcore" to have a chance at the end game content before Cataclysm.

This is coming from a end game raider.

Also I got my Challanger title over the weekend from arena woots :) my first arena title was dead chuffed to get it :D

Agreed really, with almost a full year of icc even the most tragic of players were able to get 4/12 in icc and collect t10, this merely helps the bored people pass the time with alts. :)

I remember getting whispered what a nolife I was for having 3/4 t10 early on thanks to being in the 10 and 25man icc groups from the start.

Shame the pricing is still a little messed up, Heirlooms I can ignore but I'm shocked at the cost of a 226 level belt from a vendor

Only thing I am annoyed about is, they have dropped requirements of all PVP items but 277 weapons and the shoulders! Shoulders are all I needed for full set and finished the Season on 1989 rating! Pretty annoyed tbh :(.

My guilds taken the decision to go 2 days raiding a week from 4 until Cata hits.Gives me plenty of time to grind mats/gold/ level my alts ready for the release now. Really looking forward to geting my teeth into the leveling now.

I like the fact they make item level / previous tier a lot easier for people to get now.
Used to be a pain in the butt when someone decent quit/left guild finding replacements who had decent gear.
Now you can fairly easily find people just one tier behind and thats not really an issue for most clases at all. Yes it doesn't mean they can play, but I still have terrible nightmares of going back to MC in AQ gear to start to gear new players who could ONLY get raid gear from raids. It seemed to be a never ending spiral of losing afew players, recruiting a few, going "ah damn back to MC and BWL to gear the nubs".

I have 570k gold now, think I have enough to level my profs and buy anything anyone puts on the AH thats worth getting? ;)

Buy my crap please :D

How did you get to that much?
Struggling on my server, although a gap just opened up on heavy borean leather so I hope people are rich enough to afford 1.3k gold for 20 lol.

Not really, i don't understand why people get so hung up on gear, it's a means to an end, i couldn't care less if someone who can barely complete 2 quests was decked out in 277/284 gear whislt i'm still in a mix of 277/264, it doesn't bother me.

Epic is just a colour and always was, sure it might not have been "easy" (Depending on your point of view) to get decked out in full epics, but it was hardly dependant on individual skill for the most part.

Not only that, the previous two expansions have allowed you to get top level gear in the weeks/month preceding the next expansion simply because it allows people to get a feel for changes in other classes they may wish to try out and to give an opportunity for people to be at a similar level when it comes to levelling ability.

where do you buy the t10 gear from (maybe i already have it)?

i seem to be at max for my char atm... not sure where to get any more decent gear from.

i never really have a chance to raid so its just the HC for me atm.

here is my char:

Threads of fate, dalaran.

Gloves / shoulders are around 650 justice points each with legs/head/chest being 1100 justice points each.

I'd advise reforigng your gear if you have not done so already as you'll be massively overcapped for hit without it due to the talent change

Elitistjerks has a pretty good shadow priest faq which should have what you need in regards to what to reforge to.

Incase you're wondering the reforging npc can be found in any major city parked near the enchanting trainer

Should definately be there, the vendor on the right I think. Also while having a quick look I'm not sure spirit is still viable so the weapon enchant could change and the offhand you could look at the Wrathful pvp one for 70 honor. :)
