** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

To be fair, trying to get some decent up-time on the Beta is a mission in itself.

Edit: Been checking out areas for my friends and posting them videos/screenshots, anything anyone would like me to explore or revise for them? :3
 
What's the cheapest way to upgrade to a full account and get all of the expansions? any good multi-pack deals?

Umm, and any idea if there will be good discounts when Cata is out?

Indeed, they need to sort out a lot of flaws in most if not all of the classes. Shadow Priest mastery at least is a complete joke in comparison to other class/spec's masteries.

The mighty new "Mind Spike" had potential but they have completely screwed that over with the high threat part they tacked on because they couldn't think of a better way for it to be not used in the standard rotation.
 
well with a bit of luck threat will become an issue again, as in something to look out for like it was in vanilla and not just irrelevant like it was in the expansions, especially wotlk. so other classes might have abilities that also have more threat invlovled?
(i dont know as i, like others also got banned from beta acess)
 
cant book anymore time off till christmas :(

still, collectors edition has been ordered on next day delivery :)

quite enjoying the WOW break this last month, so another 2 months wont hurt.

Hopefully this will give them to make it super well polished ready for my mega levelling of my worgen and goblin.....so excited :D

Threat was still nothing to worry about in the beta :( I still ran into huge groups of mobs and lived, I used to love trying to creep around Northshire Abbey trying to kill Garrick Padfoot without aggroing 4 or 5 other mobs.
 
Sorry guys think my guild has been holding up the release. We only killed LK last thursday (normal 10 man!) and got Halion down on saturday, its as if Blizzard were waiting for us to finish WoTLK content
 
Does anyone know what stores are open in midnight for hot release games?

As far as I know, there won't be a pre-download digital download for this game like there was for Starcraft 2.
 
Don't think a large pre download will be required since the 4.0.3 patch (the one that turns on the new old world) will be released before the 7th and will most likely contain almost everything for cata.
Release date is probably just going to be add key to battle.net account (and groan at the banned ptr account on there) and maybe a small download.

Your best pre-ordering the game, you'll likely get it on the day before release and since Russia is a few hours ahead they will likely enable Cata on the servers at around 7-8PM on the 6th like they did for WOTLK.
 
I had TBC delivered from GAME on the day of release, roughly about 10am

and well...I went to GAME in the morning @ 9am to get WOTLK.

Any online retailer within the UK that people can recommend (preferably one that you know that can deliver it a day in advance in preperation).
