***Official "You Know What Really Grinds My Gears" Thread***

People swearing when I'm on a Management call.

I'm re-implementing the swear box.

What grinds my gears is when people take offence to others swearing (Edit: except for business/professional times :D)

People who use the handbrake at traffic lights on even ground.

People who try to emphasise that their job is somehow difficult and important. All I hear is them telling me how retarded they actually are.

People who stop at choke-points

A lot more, just can't remember them all on demand.

I'd rather double flush than leave them just floating there :x

I agree, and I think when you are at the point of no return you have a pretty good idea on the flushing scenario that follows !

Sometimes its funny to just leave one sleeping and listen out for a reaction :D

Having to attend meetings straight after lunch in a room clearly too small for accomodate the number of attendees, thus air-con not cooling the room sufficiently and us all begging for match sticks to keep our eyes open.

Good one!
On a similar note, the busiest floor in my office is my floor, yet the cleaners close the toilets at 9.30 and 1pm, for the best part of an hour.
The 2 busiest times for the toilets!!

I'm sure Gilly and his fellow management have no problem with swearing in general and don't take offence, I think the point Gilly was making is there's a time and a place for it and when someone is on a call to other management that's one of the times it's not acceptable.

Fog lights! Why isn't it an offence in clear conditions?!

Facebook news feed winds me up no end!
"At lunch having a great time"
"My life is awful"
"Going to Zumba tonight"

Congratulations, nobody gives a ****.

People abusing the apostrophe - hugely on the up at the moment. YOU DO NOT USE AN APOSTROPHE WHEN YOU ARE USING THE PLURAL!

Recent surge in the number of people saying stuff like "8am in the morning" (as evidenced in this thread). THE 'AM' DESIGNATES THAT IT IS IN THE MORNING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SAY IT TWICE
