Officially old

Was talking to some medical students about how they'd probably never seen a cassette tape, when they asked what they were I explained they were what replaced CDs, they than asked what CDs were......

?

Surely they know/remember what a CD is if they are in University?

So many comments on here ring true to me. The eyesight. The colour TV etc. And the floor seems a long way away now if I need to pick something up!

Apparently not. They must have been born around 2000 ish around the release of the first ipod. By the time they were teenagers it'd have been mid 2010s and Spotify would have been around for a decade already.

Everyone seems to give me 5-8 years younger than I am as I'm quite a gregarious and vivacious person. Also being in good physical shape and healthy probably helps.

That said recovering from sports and injuries take notably longer.

However I remember bakelite rotary dial phones.

Picked up a dose of the manflu, so today I definitely feel old. Can't complain though, when not dying of snot related illnesses I don't look my age and I feel like I'm in my mid-30s.

You're only old if you have to use 110% or above zoom on the forums on your browser :p

Tbh in my 40s and I don't feel that different to my 20's, physically. The nose/ear hair is the main thing I've noticed. Being already pretty hairy, yeah that's just what I need...to spend more time pruning myself.

when you decide to go to bed early and it's only 8pm
when you look at some one and think there 16 and there 28 ..
when your games partner says .. do we need a new pack ...
when you understand .. life is like a box of chocolates ..
when your old glasses weren't bifocal
when getting up early is for run by 4 trips to the bathroom ..
when you can sit on a forum and just list the **** i just did :P :)

Jokes aside, time seems to go faster and faster the older you get, I know physically time is constant (at least on earth, and let's not go there) but man, every year seems to get shorter.

Also when you look around and the majority of people are not older than you anymore.

You think most "modern" music, and movies etc are all crap.

Realising day drinking is so much better than night drinking

Having to set reminders for everything because you get told something is happening on such and such a day but having to remember specific things gets lost in all day to day things and you can't remember jack ****

Catching a reflection of yourself in a window or something whilst you're out and about and thinking is that me!
