*Offiical Scudetto Scandal Thread*

Its funny, because people will be expecting the likes of Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Buffon, Toni, ect; to be moving out of Italy. Unlikely.
The only Italians likely to goto teams outside of SeriaA are the ones who have no chance of getting into the national team anyway.
.

I think thats a silly idea TBH. I highly doubt that if Gattuso or Zambrotta leave Italy, they won't play for the national team.

Surely its not as though Donadoni's gonna say "you may be the best players not only individually, but also for the system, but as you're not playing in Italy, I'll pick jokers from Messina and Siena instead."

A load of balls IMHO

Oh i agree. It does suck.
But those are the facts.
Zola lost his place. Vialli lost his place. Di Vaio lost his place. Vieri lost his place. Cassano lost his place. To name but a few.
Its a statement of fact. If they play outside of Italy, they will lose their national team place. Its been like that for years and years, and doesnt look like changing anytime soon.
So you can argue against it all you want, but facts are facts.

As ive said, i think its a daft 'idea' tbh, but it is true.

Why would it?
They are still playing in one of the top 3 leagues in the world. They will still be getting watched by the world, and will still be playing against some of the worlds best.

Lack of european football could cost Milan up to £30m a year in lost prize money and TV revenue.

To be fair though most of those you've mentioned were never that good apart from Zola maybe. Di Viao, Cassano? Hardly top class.
Behave. All of them in their prime would get into almost any team in the world.
But regardless of skill, they were national team regulars, they left Italy, they lost their place. Point proved.

Prize money maybe. TV revenue, only slightly. We are owned by the same person who owns most of Italian television! lol.
Plus, we have a new sponsership deal worth 5 times more than what Opel were giving us.
Despite all the doom & glume fanatics, we have the financial ability to see this season out with our current squad and new players.

Quite possibly, in fact if you see my response in this thread you will see that in essence we share the same view: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17600617

I'm just stating the fact that not being involved in Champions League will impact on their finances, even if it is made up for in other areas.
Didnt notice that. :p
This is getting quite strange now.
First im proved right a few times, now im finding my opinions being the same as some of the other members...
