I dont understand why you what appears to be correcting the above poster, saying its 120ps, when he said it was 115bhp.

120PS is 115bhp  :D

The MG ZT 260 is a lovely car tho :)

120PS is 118.35839bhp.

115bhp is 116.59503PS.

i thought all 75s were rwd?

Nope, front driven. The V8 was a bit of a hefty rework of the car's underpinnings. Fairly successful rework mind, got to hand it to the Rover engineers who made that work despite having sod-all development budget :)

Lol lads dont mean to widdle on ** bonfires but theyre poo. Went out in one the other day and it crap, souded nice and the mustang v8 label they put on the engine is all well and good, but it was slow, boring, the gearshift was crap, just boring and generally not the car they are cracked up to be, dad said he wouldnt have one if it was the last car on earth.

An expert opinion on cars from a 16 year old...

Don't mean to sound cynical, but please, go get a licence and drive some cars daily on the road before your opinion is worthy of note...

Uh....couple of things:

1) I wasn't being that serious. Should I have added an "OMGZZZ SARCASM" and a truckload of smilies onto the post to show that?

2) Having been to Longbridge, and seeing just how bad things were there (cars left in a car park with deep scratches that were just painted over without re-applying primer layers, wheels and panels left here and there, workers standing around on their mobiles not doing their job all day being some examples), I can see why they gained a reputation for quality control problems. My father did some risk-assessment work there - before he went, he'd considered a Rover 75. After the job, he wouldn't touch a Rover with a 40ft pole.

Someone I know quite well bought a brand new WRX and traded it in after 6 months for a brand new ZT 260 after taking a test drive in it. His opinion is that it is more of the drivers car than the Impreza ever could be. It certainly appears to handle exceptionaly well, and the sound of the V8 through the Xpower exhausts certainly shames the Impreza's "I'm an inline 4 running on 3 cylinders" exhaust note.

 Blasphemy
The Impreza is one of the nicest sounding cars around IMO

I could be wrong but I think a chap around the corner from me owns one of them. It roars past every now and again and sounds the dog's, plus it has two twin exhausts like that (I only ever see it from the back!).

does it matter? its a mustang engine with a mustang badge, not like putting M3 badges on a 318 ;]

Actually it's a bit like putting Audi TT badges all over your Skoda Octavia 1.8T Elegance simply becuase both cars share the same engine.
