I need a new car in about 7-14 days. One of the following i'd like but need help choosing it:

I have recently driven:

1. Astra Coupe Turbo = read meim afraid and tooooooo small!
2. BMW 330Ci = Too much £££'s, but prob the best:(
3. Audi S3
4. Honda Accord Type r (about 3-4yrs ago)
5. Skoda Octavia VRS
6. MG ZT 160bhp! - Looking @ 190bhp

Has anyone got their own opinions and ideas.

Having driven a company car for past 3 years having 1 small prang and now losing my 6 years private insurance (with Protection bonus) prior to that i appear to have no no claims (how gay).

So far insurance and prices of above cars ive seen (and can afford) are:

1. Audi - 1999-2001. £8000-£11000, 80k-120k miles, ins £967
2. MG (190) - 2000-2002, £6500-£8000, 30k-60k miles, ins £520.
3. VRS - 2000-2002, £6000-£8500, 40k-80k, again £820
4. Honda -1999-2000, £6200-£7500, 65k-105k, ins £964
5. Toyota MR2 - 1992-1997, £2500-£6500, 50k-120k, £c500

But practicaliy, reliabliity, handling, fun and maintenance are important to me, what do you all think???? Oh and insurance is inportant too???

Now ive been on web and prom what peeps are saying (from reviews etc) is that Audi and VRS are probably the most reliable and Honda not too far behind with Toyota and MG miles back???

I personally think ignoring the prices and insurance the Audi is best.

HELP!! I can keep making up reasons to even buy an MR2 or MG!!!!! Head says yes and i know i shouldnt!

Im biased :D but no, seriously, the ATR is a fine car, Most tend to have high-ish mileage on but if you dont mind that, id say an ATR in pirates black.

On the other hand, the Octavia vRS is another fine car if you can get past the badge first. Personally im not into badge snobbery and had a look at one before i chose my CTR. They are very quick, and even quicker with a Jabbasport remap to over 200BHP :D The Octy vRS will probably be one of the cheapest options but id still go with the ATR.

Yeah, Consider the Leon, great car, almost identical to the S3, but with no 4WD and audi interior refinement, and you will get a much better condition one for the price of an older S3.
If not, then it would be the S3 for me, or to keep the price down, the vRS, providing your not bothered by the Skoda badge. :D

Out of those choices it'd be the S3, quicker than most people think and with a remap very nice :) You really need to ignore 0-60 times on them as they need a change to third, but the 225 models are nice.

If you don't mind losing the 4wd and Audi badge then a vRS is another good buy, or a Leon Cupra R.

So it looks like for around 10k (which is puching it a little ££ wise) is to get a Leon (that are hard to find for that price (same goes for audi) or get audi. Only diff is the age, how about ther handling on these. Anyone got these cars?

As the ZT is on there you obviously don't mind large cars.

Therefore, how about a BMW 330i - cheaper than the Coupe, or a 530i? The 530i will be easily inside your budget.

Your budget is the same as my next budget and barring a test drive of anything unexpectedly brilliant, I think I'm going 530i.

Just dont like the 5 series at all, no character to it. The 330 CI however.......

No character to a 5 Series? Blimey - I could understand that if you said all BMW's left you cold, I mean, they are not for everyone but to then say the 3 Series has character but the 5 doesnt
