Old age sucks ***

I’m 60 next year and every little scratch takes way, way longer to heal than they used to.
Same age as me. My sympathies. I have back problems, Right middle finger clicks and aches most days. Right hip pain on cold damp days. Can't see as well as I used to. Hearing getting worse. I must be getting old as that is the number one subject of old people talking to each other.... :p

I had my first ever afternoon nap today , but that may have been due to a couple of bottles of red last night.
Either or, not something I want to get used to.

Managed to spasm a muscle in my lower back, despite no noticeable issue during training (deadlifts). Another reminder... :D

I did something similar recently.

Been doing squats followed by rdls.

Did it on Tue. No issues what so ever all Wed. However woke up on Thu with my back tight as if I pulled something.

Not fun. Dropped the rdls.

I've got issues with both knees.

Both shoulders have also had varying issues as well over the years.

Workouts have had to be modified to accommodate injuries.

I can't 45d leg press atm due to it making my left knee very sore.

I can't use dumbbells anymore since causing a partial dislocation in my left shoulder back in 2015. Thankfully barbells are fine and don't cause me issues.

43 gonna be 44 this year. :/

My left knee went 'weird' few months back, got that 'weak' feeling in it. Never experienced this before, turning 50 this year so already old.

Knees are essential.

Safe advice from that PHD weightlifter guy from the YouTube shorts. When your old, lift to keep healthy, don't go 'HEAVY'!

Absolutely. If it won't fit in a pint glass, then don't try to life it.

It does indeed suck. I still like to use weights so just switched to kettlebells to keep injury risk low. Bit of mobility work and stretching, walking etc. and that's enough. It's all about maintenance for the long term now.
