You would think, but it reckons on the box it's meant to go on the desk. Doesn't sound wrong, so I'm just taking their word for it. Tumbler's sub's on the desk too. (plus it's pretty):D

Fair enough.:) Looks mint anyway.

Nice setup.:D

Oh my daddy , (typical youngyin). Also if your not inetersted in see whos got the best gear what you doing on these forums and critising me for a previous post to see more?

Look I posted cause it lets people NOW know if they liked the desk its available for that money, whats the prob with that.
Its a popular desk and yes indeed many places now sell it , hench why the competition has lowered the price. If he bought it so long ago fine, hes made his point and the price was likely to be higher, I aint a problem with that, its a cool desk.

As for my desk , yes like youve read it usually retails for £800 but for your information I got it for cost price or I wouldnt of bought it. I know very well what the mark ups in furniture are.

Excuse me if having a hobby and creating a cool room for it all creates a problem, if youve a problem with it fine, dont visit the threads, others are interested in seeing what others have without crying about it. yes I intend the room to be impressive but so what, who cares, if people enjoy seeing it or get some ideas from it then good for them, but what is it with me doing this against anyone else whos posted simular in the past ?
You want to Ban people for posting pics now if the system is better than yours? hardly call it dick waving, Im proud with the work Ive put into it and wont be the last person to gladly show of what they got, will I.

Lighten up.

nah ive been a member on here for a long time and seen chaps like mr latte come and go, they have always forgot the principle behind those who founded case central its NEVER about how much money you earn or spend, its IS ABOUT interesting and innovative skills and ideas that take cheap/medium range products that look normal boring and modd them so they look uber sweet, the man who buys el cheapo generic beige case and modds it into a chromed, painted, windowed thing of beauty with all manner of bells and whistles will ALWAYS get more respect than the man with the biggest credit limit on their credit card. So get with the spirit of these very fine forums or please join those like you who have came and gone!

hey chopper,

Ive never boasted about money, and I have said Im an average working guy several times. I agree with your points of makin something extra cool and thats what the room Ive been doing is all about.

So maybe I want to share it, damn Ive worked hard for it and Im no different to any other normal person that has done the same with theirs on these or any other forums.

Anyone on these forums often will see Ive argued with people with the "Oh I go the money" attitude, so childish, and really who cares what people like that do as they are never happy and always wanting something new again just to show off once more.

Sorry but thats not me for anyone who has thought such, but hey you all can have your own opnions at the end of the day I aint a problem with it.

I will admit that I do find the galleries lack extreme systems for whats meant to be one of the Uks PCs leading forums and have tried to hype up some people to try add something that little bit special / different or has taken a lot of planning and time. Afterall thats where the fun is, seeing what someone has done and like you say not from a just a fat wallet or silver spoon.

Ill let the pics do the talking then come the time then.

In your 'Bring it on' thread, you seemed to be asking to see people's whole AV setups, in which case wouldn't you be better asking on an AV forum as opposed to Case Central? Where people showcase their cases (funnily enough).

You are posting in the entirely wrong section. I agree with Cobra, this is CASE central, not AV central, I think you need to head over to the Hifi forum which is also on ocuk. It might be more to your needs but then I don't reckon your system would be half as impressive as most peoples there;)

There are plenty of extreme systems in this forum so the gallery is not lacking anything. Ive spent months over making my system individual and special, spending more money on modifying the case than the actual cost of the case etc etc. So please do not post insulting comments on how this forum is "disappointing" just because you are looking for something completely different.

Cobra...
Yes I think a lot of people are mistaken in thinking its some HT setup. Its not my home theratre room and I hardly think Im the only person that sees Pcs finally embracing digital surround.

If Console/PC gaming has embraced the digital sound of movies and acquired finally after all the years of gaming equal sound to cinema with the same potential to heighten the overall enjoyment why shouldnt Pcs be connected to such AV hardware.

Surly to enjoy it at its best requres such and moreso in the near future, as does a £400 graphics card for the visuals. Its no different and some folk want more than what typical Pc speaker packages offer.

Future games will maybe highlight this further. Considering Doom 3 being called by the very developers "like an interactive movie" and is designed from the offset to scare people via market leading graphics and use of audio in how it will utilise multichannel surround to probably the best effect seen to date. Perhaps it wont be as good of an experience or as enjoyable without multichannel surround who knows but Id guess it makes it all the more important to have hardware that can really put you in the thick of it, well for me anyways..

As for the AV forum yes lots of folk have great kit there but I dont see much stuff connected to a typical PC room, and a lack of home lans like is one of the main purposes of my setup. For lots of AV gear its mostly peoples living rooms, this is where Im maybe being that bit different as having a long home cinema background and combining all the elemets of entertainment into the system and room setup, mmmm call me a sinner but hey its what I want, just surprised few others are doing the same.

You've kinda got the point mr latte, but its not the working hard and buying nice things that bring respect, its the slaving hard and making nice things that earn the respect, kinda like what gurdas did with a little help from a quality paint man, if you bought all the best parts and put them in a box, theres no skill there and if its system performance u are interested in them you would be better in overclocking, we here have handcrafted individual mods that all the tea in china wont buy you, modders like mr stu, gordy, gurdas, philsonaught, the greatest dancer, paint guy (who apart from gurdas has the best home made paint job on these forums), iver athlon and many many others, its all about individualism, hell show people a picture of a nice desk and theres only two questions you can ask, how much and where, show me a home made desk that looks the mutts nuts and you will see a long thread........ thats the point i think people are trying to make?
