The whole thing would have been better if it was just that, they light the torch then drop the mic and walk off...all done in like 10 mins.

Some will disagree, couldron was the only good part, rest was pretty poor. Like a huge mess on stage, unsynchronised, stupid digital representation part and ended up like a concert at the end. Fireworks were great though. Incomparable to Athens and Beijing.

Has a non-olympian ever played so many roles in an Olympics before?
I truely do not understand the English fascination with that man, and why it is felt necessary to put him in the foreground of every scene.


Twas a good opening ceremony, hope he isn't there to ruin the actual events, or the closing of it.
