Phelps well and truely owned there. Writing was on the wall this morning when he struggled to get through the heats.

It seemed like a lot of sandbagging in the heats, especially on the backstroke but perhaps not as much sandbagging as I thought. He really was well behind there.

Just read that she actually went faster than Lochte over the last 50m :eek:

Ryan Lochte came home to victory in the 400m medley in 29.10sec, Ye beating him with a 28.93 - a first in Olympic history. The last 100m splits compared: Lochte - 58.65; Ye - 58.68.
