Good effort. From the sounds of it the field is a lot stronger this year in the 400 so a very good result.

800m is her stronger event anyway so I think she's got a good chance of gold in that one.

Adlington's time was actually 0.21 seconds quicker than her winning time in Beijing — just goes to show how tough the competition is!

Yeah, with the lead Phleps had opened up I thought it was a USA gold but the two guys after him didn't have the pace to hold of the French.
