If you know the marble is a fake and not revealing this information then of course what your doing is completely morally wrong and possibly legally as well as it's a type of fraud imo.
If your deliberately trying to sell a fake product then hopefully you will get burnt and in some serious trouble, your no better than a thief, you just think your a clever one

a marble is a marble so how can it be 'fake'
its either a marble or its not a marble. hes put good pictures on. hes told them where he found it. told them the material. he hasnt used any manufacturer name or anything. he hasnt even said ''1800s marble'' which is what people suspect that it is. hes gave all the information he could give
nothing dodgy about it at all.
it does seem rare because after a quick look i certainly couldnt find any other ones like it

So you are saying that the whole retail industry is filled with thieves then? So many companies charge a huge amount of money for their products knowing full well it cost nowhere near that to make and in reality is worth a lot less. People still buy these products though...
He hasnt said anything other than stating its a chinese marble that he found at a car boot sale.
Completely up to the buyers whether they think it is worth buying and at what cost.

they are marble collectors. and as far as marbles go that is one of the most detailed/complicated ones ive ever seen which is why people are competing for it
you could have easily found this out yourself with google/google images
google is a great place for things like this. you can find out the true value of things because people bid what they would actually pay.

Obviously if it's a fake then all the above is void, a 'marble' lover has already aired his suspicions that it's a fake and tbh my scam/******* meter says the way it's been listed and worded looks fishy and deceptive at the very least!
Perhaps it's just me but I have this horrible picture in my head of someone ecstatic and over the moon thinking they have just obtained something they have spent years looking for to then come crashing down realizing that it's a poor fake and they have pretty much been robbed of thousands of pounds!!

the guy moaning doesnt give any reason why it is suspected a fake (which seems ridiculous anyway...)
other people in the questions dont seem to even suspect that its fake. even when OP has admitted he has no clue they are congratulating him

So you have this rare antique and the first place you try to sell it is on the bay lol?
I'm sure if he really thought it was worth something he would have taken it to be valued rather than just stick it in an auction where the highest bidder gets it lol.

It's mostly cheap unwanted tat. If he actually thought it was worth something he would have gone to an auction house.
