OMG Ebay users are getting really lame, threatening me with prison

Only problem I can see is the OP is claiming its Old, from China and made of Porcelain.

Problem is if it is a fake then it won'tbe old, or from China and maybe not even made from porcelain.

Okay the FBI won't get involved but I would expect a chargeback on the account and a report to Ebay if it turns out to be fake.

It would have been better just to advertise it as "Marble, old looking with Chinese style pictures painted on it" and then there would have been absolutely no comeback.

As it is, the OP is indeed making claims which he doesn't know for sure unless he has had an expert already examine it?

yeah the good old charge back is a bad thing, have been through a charge back before and paypal dont care, it maybe i will take this off and look into it further as i dont fancy spending this money and then 2 months later get a charge back:mad:

i reckon this person is watching the auction to see how its going
maybe some of us could start a huge bid war...

yes i am aware ive overlooked the blatent flaw in that. no i cant be arsed to think of a workaround. ignorance is bliss :D

I cannot believe this has not been said already, clearly you are selling fake marbles and this to me is easily on a par with baby murdering and so you will be burning in hell.

Oh and just ignore the email , if ebay pull your advert then they did not believe your story.

As I clicked on the link for the listing my zune started playing tindersticks marbles! It's like I'm in an episode of Lovejoy, your the evil counterfeiter and the email jockey is Lovejoy.

Surely if it's getting this much interest on eBay then that lil light bulb in your head would have turned on by now...?

Find a collector / antique expert / antiques road show or who ever and get it assessed and valued. If its the real deal take it off eBay and sell it. If not then...carry on eBay. :D

they're coming for you.

just email him - carbon copy both ebay abuse and the FBI.

That way the kid should see the that you're calling his bluff. I'd also CC his local sheriffs office with a note to them to ask the parents politely to control their child on the internet..

What is interesting is that you can self-value an item and sell it for that amount. It's up to they buyer to value it, evaluate if it's worth the asking price and then decide to buy or not.

I doubt it's a child - they have been registered on eBay for 11 years!

I wouldn’t worry about it. If they are prepared to buy something that is probably worthless then let them do so. Mind you, what if it is really valuable and you are losing out? ;)
