On The Wagon... then in 'ere!

Something to give you a little zing, a "Vodka" Sour:

1/4 ounce of fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 ounces of water
Lemon twist
Maraschino cherry

Pour over ice in a shaker, shake and strain into a glass. Garnish with a
maraschino cherry and lemon twist.​

Time for a refreshing Fuzzy Navel:

1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup peach nectar

Pour the orange juice and peach nectar over ice, stir until mixed. Make a jug of this one for the weekend.​

Simple and refreshing, a Supper Sipper:

3 oz red grape juice
3 oz lemonade
Carbonated water

Add grape juice and lemonade to glass with ice, mix, top up with some carbonated water.​

Now for something different, Ginger Sparkle:

2 cups dry ginger ale
2 cups ginger beer
Lemon slices

Mix the ginger ale and ginger beer. Serve as a long drink with ice and garnish with a slice of lemon.​

Something for Halloween, Devils Blood:

3 oz Cranberry Juice
3 oz Tomato Juice
1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Black Pepper and Salt to taste

Mix all together and serve over ice.​

Well I managed to do a concert last night without a drop, the no booze highlights for me were,

  • Not paying concert prices for crap beer
  • Not having to constantly be back and forward to the bar
  • Ditto loo
  • Remembering the night
  • Not worrying about pre loading
  • Waking up fresh with no hangover
  • Walking past the queues of people getting onto the tube in the freezing rain and into my car with heated seats
  • Not being one of the drunks
  • Not arguing with the wife
  • Not finding 1/2 a kebab on my pillow

Well done. It can only get better. :)
