I haven't had a break due to being rather ill. Sadly I feel humanish again. That said I did work 3 days this week anyway.

I positively hate my job with a passion. There are no redeeming qualities about where I work and I can't wait to find something closer to home at the very least this year. Sooner rather than later I hope.

Part of me just wants to go Vagabond and just stop going to work completely.

Didn't have any time off over Xmas and new year, worked them all so don't have that feeling of going back to work :)

I'm back to work on Thursday for two days then it's the weekend, so will be easing into it.

I like my job but not looking forward to finding out what a colleague has done to my project in my absence.

worked right through Christmas and new year, culminating in a 700 mile cross country jaunt late tonight/early hours of tomorrow morning,

off for a couple of days starting Tuesday though thankfully

I'm a student and I'm actually looking forward to going back to Uni on Tuesday.

I'm back tomorrow and I'll admit - I'm not looking forward to it. I get so used to the time off from work, that I get to Sunday afternoon and think "oh, early start tomorrow" then them I'm :(

If I was sat here dreading work tomorrow after no matter how long, I'd look for another job. Dreading the journey though, hate the ******* m5!!!

I don't get all this i am bored thing when your off for some time, work to live not live to work.

I guess that has a lot to do with what your life consists of, and how much disposable income you have. Being off work with no responsibilities and thousands to spend is a lot different to say having a family to look after and not much money to spend.

I'm quite looking forward to tomorrow to spend 8 hours listening to what everyone did over Christmas and New Year... this is why headphones were invented :D

I should be at work tomorrow (been off since the 22nd) but I had to take another annual leave day as I've got to attend a Speed Awareness course :(

Actually quite looking forward to going back to the office at 6:30am Tuesday, get into my routine, stop eating rubbish and finally get out of my t-shirt and shorts combo :D I'm sure that'll change once I've been working a couple of hours though.

Absolutely dreading going back tomorrow. I don't hate my job but swapping the excitement of Christmas for the drudgery of the 9 to 5 is awful, especially when it's so dark (without the decorations to brighten the place up) and the weather is so miserable.

I'm 43 years old but every January it feels like someone has died :(

I went back in today with heavy shoulders. :(

On the bright side though, when you get there it is not all that bad...

Honestly.

I've loved the time off but always been thinking about how the work has been building up when I'm not there, so looking forward to starting to work through the backlog.

During my travels in Asia I've meet people doing so many different things with their time. I met a French guy on the boat from Thailand to Laos who works 7 months of the year and spends all his money traveling for the next 5.

Think how crap he feels coming back after a holiday!!

I'm looking forward to those reporting others what they did over Christmas and New Year. :D :p

Jan sucks big time....dark mornings, dark nights...

The thought of work tomorrow makes me feel sick to the stomach, i'm just not ready to deal with the ********* that are my colleagues and bosses.
Every day i have to spend with them, the resentment i hold for these people grows and grows...
