One Plus 9

So from what I can tell, the Hasselblad collab for the 9 at least is mainly colour balance? Hopefully the collab will end up with more input from Hasselblad in future phones but only time will tell. At least the larger sensors seems to do well especially the ultra wide, but post processing still seems a bit off in some areas.

So just a software input from Hasselbald, I thought it was gonna be some collaboration on the lens elements etc.

So what if you prefer to shoot RAW and do post processing yourself?, renders the Hasselblad colour balance a bit redundant. I guess the idea is to get results out if the box so to speak, a la Pixels .

Take a look at the camera comparison vs the old 8pro which was already decent.

I'm talking about the Hasselblad collab itself, from the event OP mentioned they were working with feedback from Hassalblad ambassadors on the colour balance. Every other improvements seems to be from OP themselves with the better sensors and lenses.

Oneplus 8 pro had a good main sensors last year, post processing detail was still average. I think hasselblad made a difference. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter where the improvement came from as long as we get it.

It's safe to say I won't be getting either of the 2.Both models seems over priced. And for £629 at the moment you can get a mi11 which is comparable to the 9 Pro.
Where is the Mi11 £629? Just out of interest as all I can see is £800+

I can't decide whether to get the 9 or 9 Pro, still not sure if the extra £200 is worth it or not. Also I love the blue from the 9 but it's only available in 8/128 not 12/256 hmm...

So it's either the standard 9 8/128 blue for £629 or the green 9 Pro 12/256 for £929.

Currently using 6T so either will be a good upgrade..

Warp 50 wireless charger is the free gift if pre ordered.
You can also choose the OnePlus Buds instead of the wireless charger. For the 9 you get the Buds Z hmm.

I've opted for the standard 9 in blue, also upgrading from a 6t so the upgrade is going to be goooood!

Annoyingly I already have oneplus buds, shame there wasn't an alternative free gift option. Although I'm switching my buds between my phone and my work laptop (for calls), so could dedicate the free zeds to work and the buds for play :)

Nice, I was very close to ordering the same but a few reviews seem to indicate the Pro is worth the extra £££ so haven't hit the order button just yet... will do a bit more comparison research.
Only available in grey, which just looks terrible. If the blue was available for that price I may have been interested. Will do a bit of research though if it would make up for it spec wise as haven't looked into the Mi11 too much, thanks for the heads up.

Is the wireless charger gift only direct from oneplus? Cant see it on amazon.
Looks like it, just searched Amazon for the same purpose too.

After watching and reading about 10 different reviews, I've concluded this 9 Pro definitely ticks all the boxes im looking for. It may have a very decent but not the 'best' camera, although for £300 less than the S21U, along with the much faster charging, better build (IMO), better OS experience, I think it's worth the trade off.

9 looks good too but never tried wireless charging. Wil probably order it for the girlfriend in a few months.

*Goes off to order the Green 9 Pro with free wireless charger*

Edit/ Damn out of stock already :/

Will be interesting to see how the 10 pro ends up regarding the Hassleblad collab as it doesnt really appear to have made much difference in this one. Seems a bit of a lacklustre package considering the price and the hype areound the camera which is a shame.

No OIS on the standard 9 is a bit of a strange decision. The standard 8, 7 and 6 all had it on the main sensor. Almost seems it's been purposely omitted to swerve people towards buying the Pro.

FFS I am so torn. A few niggling mini red flags for me; black not available on the 256/12 Pro model and the screen might be too big for me. Might hold off a little while (said the guy who did the same thing for the OP8 Pro :o).
