*** OnePlus 2 ***

The price, the dual sim support and having seen a colleague's OPO makes me very interested. I'm a fairly early member on their forums and originally got a few invites early on last year which gave out to friends.

Will have to see how their new invite system goes. I registered and was around 45k mark now more closer to 60k.

I believe it's launching 11th Aug, but their "3 week" window would suggest it'll probably be more like Sept when folk start getting them.
 
So i eagerly wait untill today to see the confirmed spec of the opo2 as i have just ordered my new phone before these specs were out . so i now see the opo2 has the following

5.5 inch 1080p screen
13 mega pixel main camera and 5 mega pixel front
4g lte now more bands
3300 mha battery
gorilla glass

am i now regretting ordering my new phone just before this launch .... Hell no i am not been a troll when i say this but that look like a small improvement on the opo 1 here is what i got for £135

5.7 inch screen 720p (after just having a lg g3 pixels dont mean all that )
8gb ram
13 megapixel zeiss lens back camera and 5 mega pixel front with full hd recording on front camera !!
3000 mah battery replaceable !!!
gorilla glass 3
expandable memory up to 128gb that you can actually store apps on

so you are wondering what phone is this ???? its the Lumia 640 xl before you all start with the windows is rubbish thing win 10 is launched tomorrow and brings otg to windows phones !!! another plus for win phones

it is hard to beat the specs for a budget phone that nearly rivals the just launched opo 2
, i know there is no match in the cpu and gpu but really if i wanna play games i use my pc or xbox one and the 4k isnt all that in video world i dont have a 4k tv or monitor i think this is just a marketing toy .

i really do think that opo has thought they can get away with a small update and use hype and good marketing to sell a phone that is equalled in many ways by other phones maybe not the lumia 640 xl but the lg g3 i just traded in is better specs than this opo 2 .

I was expecting so much more in the new opo but feel short changed and havent even seen the price yet sub £150 and its a bargain but you can get full hd android phones better spec that this for £150 so i think opo have relied to much on the opo cult sorry but its my ten peneth roll on the mighty lumia 640 xl lol
 
Windows 10 for phone's is not launched tomorrow, unless they have changed it, W10 will launch for PC tomorrow, 10 for phones is more likely September.

Spec's for the OPO2 looks average, i would get the Moto X play edition over it tbh.
 
Lumia 640XL has 1GB RAM, not 8GB.

128GB is handy, but you only actually need 128MB if you only install windows apps that aren't terrible.
 
The only thing the G3 is better in is the pixel density. I don't see how the Lumia 640XL nearly rivals the OP2 either. Sure the cameras seems to "match" it and it has expandable storage but everything else is on the opposite end of the scale.

So I checked where I was in the queue and I somehow jumped from 430K to being in the top 7K :o. I wasn't expecting to be bumped up so much...

I hardly post on social media but I did link it anyway... and the majority of people I have added on them are Apple lovers. I did something similar before for something else couple of years back and that did almost nothing :p.
 
I just used other email addresses I have such as work and old ones I don't use anymore. It got me from 100,000 to 4,000. Wish there was a better way to get this phone than having to resort to that.

remember OP is still a tiny company compared to the big players. their manufacturing volumes are always going to be smaller and drip fed.

yes you are right , the opo has inferior camera , screen , non removable battery no sd card slot , lower dpi screen so yes its a flagship killer er not !! you can get the same spec in the lenovo vibe x2 but wont justify the big price tag because pointless benchmarks fudged to big up certain hardware to sell it antutu anyone

as for yes its got a octo core cpu and loads of ram that means squat maybe 0.05 of a seccond loading antutu well worth it not on this theme dx 12 coming has only just made use of upto 6 cores in games on desktop cpus so please dont beleive the marketing rubbish
