The big problem with the find 7's are that they have a fricking capacitive menu button rather than multitask button. Why?????

Do you mean the touch button on the bottom of the phone?
if so then you can pick what it does. I'm testing Color OS 2 and so far so good.
Never thought I would use gestures :)

It seams to me you like to argue. I suggest you go and read the +1 forum for further info. And why post if you don't like the phone?

"Oppo Find 7a has fast charging, removable battery, micro sd card, same screen, same camera, same cpu, 1gb less RAM, full LTE support in EU which means band 20. So why the *** doesn't OPO has these functionality when they are so damn closely related and made in the same factory. Their design is even almost the same and the only thing that stops me from buying Oppo is CM"

From +1

It does make the Oppo Find 7a look quite interesting as I said in earlier post for the same reasons you mention.

However, the Find 7a is 399 Euro which translates to about £329 for the 16 GB model, then if you factor in £32 for a 64GB micro sd card you're up to £361 vs £269 for the 64GB OPO.

The problem has arisen from OPO's desire to create limited variants of the One to serve the world, only it doesn't because of band 20. OPPO on the other hand also created a specific international version with band 20 included. Creating more SKU's reduces the sales volumes of each so I guess that increases production cost per unit and is reflected in the end sales price. Since OPO is new and wanting to make a name for themselves and become a significant player in the market they would need something to hit the shelves at a very competitive price point which they've done by creating one model with limited variants (colour ways and memory sizes).

I also noticed there's quite a difference in the dollar price to the Euro and GBP prices. It's definitely a steal in the US for the 64GB model at $349 (£207), not sure why this is, does the US not charge them import duty or something compared to us?

The 2GB VS 3GB is nothing. Why? because all you got to do is use a program that will give you 3GB. Job done.

I have a 720p 5.5" phone that came with 1GB of ram now it has 2.5GB to play with.

What do you even mean by this? How can your phone go from 1gb ram to 2.5gb ram? Impossible.

someone is trolling for oppo it seems :p

If you're a student or can get hold of a card you can pre order the find 7A for £269 inc extra battery and a sdcard.

The secret tech +1 was banding about before the 23rd was, battery and notification light.
No on release day some nice person went around their forums\Facebook\twitter and deleted all the posts about it. Not nice.

what are you on about ? you gotta be trolling? you JUST can't physically be that special and argue about something you clearly don't understand? I hope you're trolling I really do.

Not one of you have ever portioned their phones memory!!!!! shocked(no not sdcard)

You just use a scatter file with DATA EBR1 Y EBR2 and it re-writes the phones memory to what you want from 1-what ever GB
There's even a android program that will do it for you. You must be rooted and have CWM or Twirp.

Been doing this on pads\phones for years. Next you'll be saying you don't know what a EBR1 Y EBR2 is :eek:

Are you talking about re-partitioning the memory to have more RAM for Android but less RAM for the GPU? Wouldn't that hurt performance...?

Heck, you might as well use this: http://www.downloadmoreram.com/

On the MTK6589 phones they only have 1GB so I can't fit the new Color 2 OS(1.3GB approx.).
So I had to make it bigger to 2.5GB for system.

This where the rom goes the rest is used how you want.
On my phone I use the EBR1 together with EBR2 to re-write the memory.
None of my apps are on my sdcard, I could if I wanted to but I have no need to.

I'm waiting for the flash tool for the Find 7 to be released then a guy in a Chinese forum will do the rest.

This is his site http://www.weibo.com/wuxianlin000000

And this is the same OS as the Find 7 will use but for my crappy phone http://bbs.51cube.com/thread-90453-1-1.html

You're not talking about RAM. It's possible to repartition the storage space to fit different sizes in different partitions. But you can't change the RAM size, it's a physical chip on the main board, not changeable.

I think you've just got yourself confused with the names. Probably between RAM and ROM.

Wait a second, surely you're talking about the /system partition and not the RAM?

My head hurts...

Yes system partition. Read the links if you want. Anyways back on topic. http://bbs.51cube.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=82228&highlight=A5300

So when will we know the FULL spec and extras of the +1 phone?
I'm 100% going for the Find 7A

Then if you properly read the original post that started this whole debate, we were talking about RAM, not the /system partition. The system partition still sits in the inernal memory, and is seperate from the /cache, /data and /sdcard partitions, but still in the same storage area. It is no way related to the RAM.
