My Hormozi order just arrived. Roast date 20/09, so very fresh.

Just tried an espresso with the Jamaica Blue Mountain blend (light roast) - lovely crema (significantly more than the Lavazza), and extremely smooth with no bitter aftertaste.

I wouldn't say it's a mind-blowing "wow" improvement, but certainly worth the extra couple of £. My other half didn't really notice the difference, but then she mutilates it with milk & sugar :(

Unfortunately only ~3 shots worth from the sample, but on the plus side it does mean I can try a different one tomorrow - looking forward to it! :D

How long did they take, order some medium roast Jamaica Blue yesterday to try.

Haha got everyone on the Hormozi, I should get a sales commission.

I find it good but mostly a fair bit cheaper. Not saying it's the best coffee in the world but for the money I don't complain.

Ah, I just fill the puck regardless of what I am making.

I find the slightest bit of variations can cause whether the shot choke or not. To limit the variation i weigh the beans, so it has the exact amount every time. Then the only variation comes from my technique making the puck even and tamp at a consistent pressure.

Essentially I want to restricts the many ways a shot can go wrong and get a more consistent result. I would say 70% are ideal, 29% are still drinkable (because i hate waste) and 1% it will choke totally...like barely 2 drops comes out after 30seconds.

It used to happen probably 10% of the time when i used the Iberital MC2.

Another +1 for weighing beans. It may seem like a faff at first but it makes it much easier to make your shots consistent.

I used to just let the machine decide how much to grind out and when I started doing it by weight I realise how much the machine was wasting
