OnLive now FREE and WORKS in the UK!

Yeah, actually worth pointing out that the biggest problem I find is the graphics are a bit fuzzy. Can't obviously see what res it's running at but it's not the best.

Whatever did happen to the cloud computing of the 90s anyway? When I was working in IT during that time, Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Server were all the rage. Why did it all fall by the wayside? At that time, I thought by now all the corporate environments would be running thin clients.

Probably just hammered as it went free a couple of days ago.

Heard good things from podcasts, wonder if they'll ever do consoles with a capture card?

I dispute the thread title.

Says 3MB required... it's more a latency thing... but yeah - Not likely to work for you :)

Awesome, it says 3MB required, I have double that yet it probably won't work! I'd laugh if anyone here has tried it on a 50MB connection and it gave them the high latency message too. :D

That is ridiculous. I guess the trip over the Atlantic automatically adds a certain amount of latency? I tried it anyway and you're right, it didn't work. :p

It's nowt to do with how much bandwidth you have. You could have 1Gigabit and still get high latency. ;)

Ahh okay. :) I made the assumption that usually you get better latency with higher bandwidth packages but I see that isn't the case.

Good point - forgot you can select what data centre to test against with that website.

There it is - tripped my ping to the nearest possible US data centre...

Pardon my ignorance, I'm not very clued up on Internet connections, but is the 96ms the time it takes for you to contact their server, or the time it takes for you to contact their server and for their server to send a reply to you?
