Yeah, not shocking when the service is utterly pap.

As I've stated before, I played it on a 100mbit up/down JANET link at work and it was laggy as hell. This is despite getting sub 10msec pings to everywhere in the UK. It's a broken concept.
 
I don't understand what's happening here. Some venture capitalist has bought the company and it's continuing to operate as if nothing's happened. So what on earth is going to change to make the company any money?

The most surprising thing I learnt, is that out of 1.5 million active subscribers, there are only 1500 or so concurrent users at any time. That's pretty bad.

They've halved the staff count so that has probably thrust it towards profitability. As usual in these cases though, the long-term effect of halving the staff count is either ignored or they truly believe that it won't impact on the service.
