No doubt its good but Official Nintendo Magazine is without doubt THE most biased mag I have ever read imo

The 12 slots also account for lag. Any extra slots add extra lag to the game as everyone has to be updated with the race details. You can spectate fine on brawl without taking up a slot but that's only up to 4 players.
