Absolutely agree, love the game. Pulls you in like nothing else on the market, especially when your having a really successful fun action packed wipe. finding a sever to match your skill level and play style is keyRust is what id play.big player base updated regular fun to play.
Without the current wipe system, it will just get boring, clans get bigger until the server population dies, it already happens on monthly wiped servers, there a ghost town after a couple weeks because big clans have raided all the solo and low player group bases. The devs force a wipe on the 1st Thursday of every month, community servers (which I prefer) mostly wipe every Thursday. Pretty sure the dev are still trying to figure out away to do away with wipe cycles for the games full release, with server migration and quicker decay for raided unused bases to ease server performance.I hate the wipe system on rust that's why I can stay on it. But suppose that's why I don't like seasons on d3 either as I don't like spending thousands of hours progressing just to pointlessly start again.

I play on solo/duo/trio only servers with active admins, so your not running into 10+ man zergs with AK's all the dam time. There are 100's of community and modded servers all with there own rules and mods. Yeah it's a little toxic, but it's a survival game with all your hard work at stake. But the games recent updates makes it more thoughtful, do you build near roads and rad towns for easy access to components but with higher traffic? Or do you build hidden away from them, harder to get components but far less likely to get raided? Do you build small and hidden or build the biggest dam base you can? Do you pi$$ off your neighbours and spend all wipe fighting with them, or do you come to an agreement? Its a true sandbox in every sense of the word. With recent twig update it forces you to build smarter too, it makes the builder think about the layout.Herein lies the problem with Rust, the system its built on a toxic behaviour. You essentially build you base, to steal and destroy other peoples hard work. And when you get to the very large guilds, it becomes pointless even taking part.
Its essentially like kids at the beach, you collect your sand and shells, built your sand castle, then if your kid is a nob, they'll go find another kids to destroy.

Other than Ark, you could say the same thing in all games in the genreYeah because there is zero other content, if you don't want pvp 90% of time then rust is not the game for you.
Looking at Rust, if there isn't much in the way of PvE content, then it's probably not really what we're looking for, 7 Days to Die definitely sounds like the way to go!
Just seen that ARK has had the price put up to basically a full price game now, so we most likely won't be touching that any time soon (unless there is a decent sale)...
That's an MMO isn't it?

Seems so. I came across it yesterday and it perked my interest as seems like my type of thing. Early access and doesn't seem to have much in it currently however so think I'll hold out for now. Early access in itself is enough to make me wait on a game these days.
Its like Rust in size, so servers will be capped at about 40-60 on release.
Its a very good game, lots of depth and very good fun.
Its really worth checking out and for £20 its worth the punt, they've made 2 previous very successful games, so it shouldn't just disappear like most.
