Search for open in background tab, it says enter ctrl shift, i haven't tried but change that to just enter ctrl and make sure it doesnt conflict with anything else, and give it a go. No promises though...

Tolien there are special acid3 builds on a fork out there to use if you so wish, but they break other sites, and although opera has proved it gets over 100% on acid3 they weren't happy with speed (which they tout even more than web standard and are the fastest around) or with other sites incompatibility. Opera has to deal with bad coding all the time, its quite unfair to the company. For instance the itv catchup player test for IE and Firefox and if youre not those you get told to download silverlight, well i have it installed and it works, but yet itv still can't get it right, and this isn't a sole case! Opera have to work around issues similar to these, or people downloading it won't understand.

Really don't like the new theme at all. Switch back to the 9.2 standard theme.

Browser sniffing isn't the same thing - it breaks with unreleased versions of Firefox (and proabably IE too). The people who code these things should be hunted down and destroyed.

one thing i do like in opera, is the really smooth scrolling, it's more fluid that firefox's

but extentions > scrolling

Remove it from the toolbar. Then re-add it and place in on the left.

Make sure you have the Appearance tab open. Tools>Appearance. Then you should be able to drag it over to the left.

Ok. Another one (3).

You know the notification for blocked pop-up. How do you make it to show on top-right instead of bottom-right.
Also, in 9.27, when I clicked on a link (the link on my signature for example). The notification for a blocked pop-up will show up. Now it just goes straight to the webpage, how do I change it back?

One last thing. Maybe its the skin I'm using but the trash can doesn't change when theres blocked pop-ups. It stays the same as when its emptied.

This looks pretty different. I like the skin a lot but that coincides with the fact that I love darker themes and skins.

Im happy with the experiance....after downloading the classic skin.

Does anyone know how to stop it opening a new 'transfers' tab everytime i download something?
I used to be able to have it open just the one and then they all go in that, but now it opens a new one each time!?

Eurgh.. Just installed it and have spend the last 10 minutes changing it back to how it used to be! Downloaded the Opera classic skin, had to rearrange the icons and set the keyboard shortcuts back to what they were!

I'd like to know that too.

What have they done with the sort cut/commands as well? I used to press SHIFT CTRL N to get a new tab, but now it's CTRL - have they chosen to go the same way as I.E. 7?

Edit - a quick search in shortcuts reveal that both shortcuts perform the same action. One works, oddly enough - the other one doesn't.

There are options once the transfer tab is open to stop it appearing etc etc.

ctrl + alt + T

Then click on view.

FOr shortcuts the way your used to them in 9.2x go to shortcuts in preferences and tick one key shortcuts and highlight opera 9.2 compatible. All back to normal after that

To stop the transfer window popping into focus all the time open the transfer window check view on the transfer toolbar and check open in background (or not at all if you wish).
