Operation Flashpoint 2-Dragon Rising.

Jesus -- the early reviews are pretty nasty really.

Pre-order cancelled. Gonna read a load about ARMA 2 now ...

Operation bland-island. Dragon 10 miles north, and yes you've got to walk. Real time.

So basically if you were looking for a 4 player Co-op game, you should be catered for, but if you were looking for a 32 player shootout, You've been sorely misled? :(

I might have another look at ARMA 2 tbh, except the control layout pickles me.

Operation Failpoint: Dungheap Rising

hmm /me wonders if arma2 has been patched

It has dude, 1.04 now. Seems a lot more stable now. Only problem is the OcUK server is down and no one has seen lee for a while.

As for OFP2, my pre order is on the way and I will certainly play it. 4 player co-op suits me quite well as me and a few mates get together on skype for co-op action most nights. GRAW2 and and COD5 are getting quite stale now.

It won't be replacing ArmA2 in any way shape or form, but it'll fill a gap in my gaming for a while.

weve got a uk based 50 slot ARMA2 server up on

IP:beer.thesasclan.co.uk:51100
Name {SAS}-www.thesasclan.co.uk

L5520 xeon / 12 gig ram / hosted at rapid switch, speak to a guy called Muttaa whos on it all the time if you want anything changing etc etc.

Lol, game is getting annihilated it seems. Personally, only in my wildest of wet dreams did I expect this to match or even come close to Arma2. The real deal will be when Arma2 finally gets some really good mods out for it too.

I am still going to give this game a chance. For 17.99 I can accept a roundhouse kick in the face if this game is as blatant a poor console port as people are saying. However, remember all that talk of this game being supported heavily by Intel engineers? And that i7 optimisation vid? I'm not so sure CM considered the PC version an afterthought you know. The test for me is simple though: will I be able to play this co-op with 3 of my mates (all local to me and all on 10mb) or will it lag and prove painful? I will wait and see I guess.

Probably a bot mate i wouldn't count on a human reply.

I reckon he has accounts at loads of forums and just cuts/pastes the same things into each forum without reading the threads. Shame really as would be nice for CM to say they are looking to support it after release but ah well was only £17.99. Will be a filler until MW2 comes out and Arma2 gets patched to a nice level. I'm just hoping the AI in Arma2 gets sorted as the driving and gunning ruined it for me when the AI were in control. Fix that and I can put up with most of the Arma 2 bugs!

links contain links to competitors as well, RTM'd it to get it removed, convenient I guess.

rmmm I don't mean to burst your bubble but many of those reviews are based on false information that was provided by CM to the magazines/sites

for instance...

As we're playing the game before the game goes out on sale, nobody else has a copy of it, so trying out the multiplayer function is effectively out of the question. We'll take another look at it in a future issue, once the game is out on general release and the multiplayer servers are populated.

What we can tell you about is the campaign co-op. This is superb fun

So they where told there would be servers, and also they only played the co op on a lan system so none of the horrendous lag and dropping and apparent openings to massive griefing abuse.
