Children were taught that all Christians are liars and attempts were made to introduce Sharia law in classrooms as part of an alleged 'Trojan Horse' takeover plot of Birmingham schools, an inquiry has found.
The inquiry commissioned by Birmingham City Council found evidence of religious extremism in 13 schools as school governors and teachers tried to promote and enforce radical Islamic values.
Schools put up posters warning children that if they didn't pray they would "go to hell", Christmas was cancelled and girls were taught that women who refused to have sex with their husbands would be "punished" by angels "from dusk to dawn".
The report found that the extremism went unchecked because the council "disastrously" prioritised community cohesion over "doing what is right".
It concluded that there was a "determined effort" by "manipulative" governors to introduce "unacceptable" practices, "undermine" head teachers and deny students a broad and balanced education.

What this highlights, once again, is that there needs to be a really good system for whistleblowing where the public are being directly harmed and reasonable outcomes can not be expected to be gained from the existing systems.
 
I hope some go to jail for this. If the Muslims don't like it here then please leave as you're making Birmingham a bigger **** hole.
 
There should be questions asked of the professionals and whether they are fit to continue in the teaching profession if they were complicit to this.

Of course they like it here, they just want to give back to the community in the only way they know how.

A cross-party group of MPs has rejected claims of a plot by hardline Muslims to infiltrate schools in Birmingham and force them to introduce an Islamic agenda in their classrooms and culture.
The Commons education select committee said that there was no evidence of such a plot and only one example of extremist activity, where a jihadist video was shown in a classroom.

So I've been listening to the Serial Podcast again after Adnan was released from prison earlier last month and this year they released episodes relating to the Trojan Horse Scandal. I don't remember much about the scanal at the time but there were details in the podcast that I though many would be interested about.

The letter in question that started this off, is cited by a number of government officials to be bogus. In the podcast they present evidence to show that this letter could have been fabricated by a head teacher, who was under scrutiny for forging resignation letters of four staff members. This head teacher was one of the school named as being under the process of being transformed and is talked about in great detail in the letter.

I'm on part 5 of 8 and the key thing at this point is if everyone knew this letter was most likely bogus, what caused the reaction by the government? There appears to have been a second letter (mostly unknown to the public) sent by the humanist society that was most likely the actual trigger for all of this. Well I've just started on this point in the podcast, it will be intesresting to see how it goes.
 
So what exactly has a podcast spawned from the Lefty Liberal "This American Life " got to do with alleged radical Muslim infiltration of school curriculums in Birmingham, England?

You haven't really made clear just what the relevance is, and not many are going to want to listen to a lengthy series of American podcasts to discover this...
