Opinions on this first gaming PC build

Honestly thank you for all of your help. So my final build is:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor
Memory: Team - T-Force Vulcan 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Motherboard: Gigabyte - X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Palit - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB Dual Video Card
Case: Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair - TXM Gold 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Monitor: AOC - G2460FQ 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor

You're sure this will be able to stream 1080p no lag?

TBH, I'm not a streamer so I can't say I'm certain. I can't see a reason why it wouldn't and the reviews I've read of the 2600X have it as a very good streamer for 1080p. For your own peace of mind, though, it's probably a good idea to have a good search for benchmarks using OBS and any other software you think you might use.

Others might have a better idea. @orbitalwalsh is a guy whose opinion I respect on this kind of issue so I don't know if he can reassure?

I've just found out that the RAM I've chosen isn't on the QVL for that motherboard. Should I go back to the original ADATA 3000 RAM as that is?

Sorry, been unable to post for a bit (my fault.) And just been busy putting kids to sleep

Threads , more the better . To be honest , getting a £200 refurb dell unit and slapping a capture card of ryzen 2600 and b460 with 1070ti would yeld cleaner results . But dual pc set ups if you really want the best quality ! But it's worth getting a 2nd screen.. from any anywhere at any cost . Not many streamer only use one screen

Team group will have strong and stronger support for Team Group now and pending

If you can stretch to include @8 Pack 3200 kit to make life easier as well as reduce latency . Stream and capture , having the highest min frame rate and low latency is golden

But again, depends on how far you want to push your streaming channel etc etc etc

It doesn't mean it won't work, just that it's not officially supported. I used similar (slightly slower) RAM on my lad's system and it's not on the QVL, but it still works fine at DOCP.

Thanks @orbitalwalsh , unfortunately I think this is going to be over my budget once I've bought the extras I need on top. Do you think this build will be good enough to stream?

Could I just use this monitor - Acer UM.WW3EE.001 21.5-Inch Full HD Monitor (TN Panel, 5 ms, DVI) - Black for a second screen?

It should be a neat streamer , if you could manage to swap the 2600x for 2700 then better. Might run slower FPS for yourself due to slower clock speed, but the viewer will get higher FPS slightly from the capture .

Recommend looking at Gamersnexus 2700x review , cover a lot of streaming . You'll see both ends of the scale .

Then also there's the quality you want the stream in etc etc

Thanks @orbitalwalsh! I've looked at his review before but unfortunately don't have an extra £100 to spend on the 2700X. Would you go for the Team 3200 RAM which isn't on the motherboards QVL or ADATA 3000 which is?

Ok, thanks. Does it make a difference that the 1070ti doesn't have a back plate? Also do I need to buy additional fans for the case?

I'm planning on recording with OBS as well as streaming, I'm assuming it will be just as good?

It's a Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB WINDFORCE OC 8G Video Card. Would you rather get this or a slightly more expensive 1070ti as you don't think Palit's great?

Have to factor this is, does stick with palit get you a 2700 over 2600x . If not , is a better cooled and warranty card that much more cheaper then slightly powerful 1080 you don't have to overclock to match performance

If I wasn't to get a 2600X I would really want the 2700X which is £100 more. The Palit 1070ti is £399, the EVGA 1070ti is £424 and the Asus 1070ti is £453. Whereas the Gigabyte 1080 is £448. Which one would you rather get?

I think the recommendation is to get the 2700, not the 2700X. They have the same number of cores, but the X version has higher base clock and boost speeds.

I don't know what's wrong with the Palit 1070 Ti as I've only read good reviews. Ortibtalwalsh seems to know his hardware, though, so he may have picked up some problems with it I've not seen.

8700 will stream and play better then 2600x

Better than the 2700 as well? I found mixed results on this, but I've not looked into streaming specifically in any detail, just general CPU reviews...
