*** OPPO Find X5 Pro ***

The gift offer ends in a few days I believe.
Yep 23rd. I've been watching/reading more reviews and they are all consistent in one thing - S22U has the better overall camera setup due to zoom and selfie, but if no interest in zoom and prefer low light shots, then X5 Pro camera is better.

There's just too many reasons why I feel it's a better phone overall than the S22U. Adding in the free gifts and it now seems a no brainer to pre-order it. So I am going to go into Currys either tomorrow or Monday and pre order it.

Should receive it on the 24th hopefully, will post some pics when I do.

I’d say if you are going to pre-order it’s worth doing it online as you can return it no questions asked. Not sure what the in store policy is. I’d also never, ever buy anything from Currys but that’s a different story.

Voucher to get 8% off can only be used in store for mobile phones, annoyingly. That £84 saving is the only reason I am buying from Currys and in store. Usually I would also never buy anything from them.

Fair point but maybe use it for something else? I would prefer having option of refund over a little saving.

Unsure wether I'll keep the watch or earphones as I already have a Garmin and Sony Mx1000, but definitely the charger. What's everyone else doing?

Keeping the charger and case, selling the earphones and watch.

Had nothing but issues from Currys since ordering it in store on Sunday, no point getting into it but should have just paid the extra and not used them after all as was recommended. Will go into the store tomorrow and hopefully pick it up.. let's see.

Mine also arrives today! Tried the S22U and the lag on my unit was terrible, even after resetting it twice it was really poor. I'm sure it will be fixed but fancy giving the Oppo a go. Always wanted to try the Find X2 but never did in the end, really looking forward to this one though.

One weird bug though is with the power button. No matter how long I hold it, it doesn't turn off or reset. It works because it recognises quick launch etc. Assuming firmware related, I've factory reset to check.

Edit: ok turns out it's new in Android 12...volume up and power no idea why Google but anyways

I think you might be able to change in the settings. It's a stupid thing google brought in where the power button brings up the Google assistant. Why? Who knows. The power button should be to power the phone on and off

Really looking forward to hearing how people get on with this. I’ve now made the jump from Android to iOS and I’m unlikely to be back any time soon. But it’s great to see decent alternatives to Samsung and Google out there to buy in the UK.
