Hmm ok.. well im not entirely sure then how to make it stable.. As i don't wanna increase the volts TOO much, but it seems to be only stable in prime95 when the volts are at 1.6v. Is there anyway i can keep the volts the same as i have now (1.554v) But have a stable cpu?

The HTT is on 2x and my RAM is on 100mhz.

Try raising chipset and\or HTT voltage slightly.

The HTT is on 2x and my RAM is on 100mhz.

You dont need them that low.

Ok i'll raise the chipset voltage a tiny bit, but i cant seem to find the HTT voltage. I raised the RAM to 133mhz and the HTT up to 3x.

Edit: Also, the Chipset voltage was on 1.5 i raised to 1.6 as that was the smallest i could raise it.

Depends on what ram you have.

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS4000PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3

Opteron 146 and epox 9npa+ Ultra

seemed a better place to ask as I've already noted some stuff down from here.

Its ok, i'm new to this and have been having a bit of trouble as after trying that setting in super pi it was fine but prime95 it failed, so i fiddled with some more settings, took the fsb up so the cpu went up to 2.8 and then it rebooted itself, i dunno what im doing wrong :/


Edit: 2.8 is the absolute maximum we should take it to?

2.8, possibly 2.85v (both the gskill and corsair ram is TCCD which wont benefit from higher voltages, in fact it will get fried).

1.6v on an opteron? ummm no. That's pretty damn high for an opteron on air. I wouldnt push it past 1.55v

Hmmm, everything just errored on me i.e cpuz and firefox, tehn my pc when into a blue screen and restarted, i must be doing something wrong :/

I've seen people run 1.65v on air without issues (ok, so it was on XS, so what?)
