Thinking im going to give up now, fed and and had enough. I've probs damaged the cpu also, as i have had mine up to 1.6.

I've put 1.65v through 2 different A64 3000s and they didnt die

Ijust cant seem to get my cpu at a stable state. Knew i sohuld have forked out extra for a DFI.

I dont think its the board holding you back as my 9NPA does 295 fsb, you're on lower than that arent you, maybe you've reached the max of your chip,

What does your 148 do james.miller?

I thought if a 144 can do 2,8ghz, then it would be even easier for a 148?

Edit: James, what settings in your bios are you using maybe i could copy them and get similar results? I only want 2.8 out of mine

They are the same cpu's. Makes no differnce.

settings? 270x11 there. ram on a 166 divider. all normal stuff.

Ok, well i got my

HTT @ 2x
RAM at 133 and upped to 2.7v
CPU at 11x
My FSB atm is at 245mhz
My cpu volts are on 1.55
my chipset volts are on 1.6v

and my cpu is a 2705.69

prime95 is going okay, i am on test 4 atm with no errors. And my temp is at 39c on load, i think it will go up to 40.

I cant seem to break into the 2.8's though, i know its too early to tell whether the 2.7 i have out of it atm is stable, but is there anything i can tweak to get into the 2.8's?

mine is not doing to bad i guess. hopefully a better bios comes out for this asrock board then i will be able to get some real clocking done.

I'm on 2763.97mhz not far off 2.8, please, anymore suggestions to get me to 2.8 would begreatly appreciated, i'm sorry in advance for being another noob..
