Cool.

enter the BIOS,

set the time and date.

set the boot order too optical drive first, HDD second, you can disable the others including search for other boot device to help speed the boot up times.

Insert the win7 disk.

follow instructions on screen to do a new install.

the pc will restart a few times, and including at the first time it gets to the desktop.

get the internet running.

windows updates.

motherboard, graphics and soun drivers in that order.

anti virus etc.

run the windows experience index to let the operating system learn the hardware, ignore the score it gives you, it will be 5.9 anyway.

Kill zombies.

I wasn't able to set the time and date, the BIOS made me load an operating system from the hard disk straight away. Can I go back in after it restarts?

hit restart, press DELETE while its booting up.

Okay, My PC now keeps restarting when I try and turn it on. It was fine when I left it but when I came back it was just doing this cycle.

Try resetting the CMOS.

Used to have that trouble, have a company car now so did need to worry, only when they keep changing my **** tax code saying I don't have a car or have Fuel :mad:
