Ordered something and got double through the post !!

I ordered a couple of tops from Superdry on Monday - one in XS and the other in S. I later emailed them to cancel the S and to refund my money. When the invoice came through, only the XS was listed. Good stuff. Anyway, it turned out that--at least according to my history on Nationwide's online banking--that they refunded me the £44.99 before they had taken the £89.98. I then got emails to confirm the dispatch of both tops. Move forward a few days and I come home to find that they had both indeed been sent, which essentially means I got one for free.

I got 2 Peep Show series 1-5 box sets through the post once from a big online retailer. I think I still have the second somewhere in my room though as it was quite cheap anyway and I couldn't be bothered to sell it on, but who am I to complain! :D

i'll have it if its just wasting space :p

Only ever had this happen when the original Fable was out on the Xbox. I got sent two copies of the same making of Fable disc (which was free to all pre orders iirc).

Of course I'm sure most people have had the vending machine scenario where you buy a chocolate bar/drink and you get two, it's happened to me a few times. Result. :P

I ordered a Western Digital My Passport 250GB from Amazon about 3 months ago. I waited for a week or two and it never arrived, I sent them an email asking where said item was, they apologised for their mistake and that there had been a mix up with Royal Mail, and I was assured that I'd get the product sent immediately. A few days later and I had two of them through the post...

Sent one back though because I'm nice like that. :)

A few years ago I sent back an old Acer desktop because of a hardware problem. After a few weeks wait they regrettably said they'd lost the PC but would upgrade me to a PC with a higher spec and ship it out immediately, So that arrived a few days later.

A few weeks after that, the one they'd "lost" was returned, so they'd given me one for free :D

Quite a nice surprise really :D

My Aunt bought a £3500 Dell laptop for work a few years ago and had nothing but trouble with it - sent it back several times, still having issues, recieved a complimentary memory upgrade, still having problems so asked for a refund.

They refunded the money, then, despite repeated attempts at trying to get them to organise, never collected it. They ceased to have any interest and wouldn't come and get it.

She handed it over to me, fixed it in a few hours, served her very well for 3 years :D

This happened to me just this morning :) ordered the Friday DVD boxset (Friday,Next Friday, Friday after next) got it last week but got home from work today find another copy on the mat:)

I once ordered the PS3 60GB model with PS2 backward compatibility after Sony ceased the production. Arrived damaged so I asked them to give me refund but that's after a few rounds of phone call. Then After the guy took it away, I received a call that they found one last stock in the warehouse if I wanted it. I said ya so they don't need to refund me. Later I received the PS3 and yet they refunded me a month later. I didn't realised the money after I came back from a 3 weeks holiday.

The only time I've ever had an order mixup that benefited me was actually two at once.
Years ago, I ordered a complete PC system, except monitor, and it was delivered with the 17" CRT monitor (back when they were £300+).
I'd already ordered a separate IIyama 17" monitor for £450, but it hadn't yet been delivered, so I thought I'd save the money and called them up to cancel the order for a refund. They delivered the monitor, and refunded my money.
So I got two pricey monitors from different companies for free.

Also, the iiyama monitor broke, and I called tech support - only remembering afterwards that they might realise I hadn't paid for it. They happily picked it up and repaired it, for no charge. That's quality service!

Happened last week when I ordered 2 x 8GB class 6 micro SD cards, 3 eventually turned up. Not sure what to do with the extra one yet.

Not exactly ordered, but i won a full version of Office 2007 Ultimate in a raffle at an event for IT bods (by Dell). Didnt receive it, so got in touch with my account manager, he apologised and said he would sort it. Still nothing a month later so rang him again and he said he would make sure it was sorted this time. The following week i received 3 copies of it on seperate days. No one ever asked me about the extra copies, so wanged one on ebay and got £200 for it, emailed the guy who bought it and told him i had another 2 copies and he had them for the same price! Nice!

Had a mate who bought an Apple G3/G4(?) with the big 27inch display (whatever was the biggest you could get about 4yrs ago), it was dead on arrival so he took it back to the Apple shop and the sales assitant told him to ring Apple and they would swap it for a new one. He got home and rang Apple and they logged the call but told him to go back and exchange it at the shop as that was his right. Went back to the shop and the sales manager saw him come in (he's a fairly regular customer, last mac he bought was around the £6k mark as he uses it for music production) and asked what the problem was, he got a new monitor on the spot. A week later Apple customer services also delivered a monitor as a replacement. He rang them and told them of the error but they never picked the extra monitor back up and he's been dual (huge) screen ever since!
