Does anyone on here use Origin Access?

Just got back into PC gaming and came across this a few weeks back when they had SW Battlefront Ultimate on offer and seen they do an annual subscription for £3.99 per month or £19.99 per year and you get access to games such as BF1, Sims 4, Mass Effect 1-3 and Crysis as examples

Is it as good as it seems?

Just got back into PC gaming and came across this a few weeks back when they had Titanfall 2 and SW Battlefront Ultimate on offer and seen they do an annual subscription for £3.99 per month or £19.99 per year and you get access to games such as BF1, Sims 4, Mass Effect 1-3 and Crysis as examples

I have Origin Access. I actually find it good value, I can pay my 3.99 a month, play the games until I dont want to play them anymore and then cancel the subscription, or sometimes I just leave the subscription running, hell its less than the cost of 1 Big Mac.

Thats what I thought. I was looking to buy some of the older games like Crysis and try out Titanfall 2 and Dragon Age but for the cost of buying them, the membership is cheaper

If you cancel the subscription at any time do you retain save games?

I do, have done for a few months now. Yes you keep the games if your sub is kept up. £20 a year is a steal. Plus you get deluxe edition FREE of any games you have, that have them.

Yes it is brilliant value, particularly if like me, you've had a gap in gaming and missed a lot of games. It almost too good to be true if you don't already own a lot of games they have on offer.

Shame they don't give you the DLC as well. If one was to play Mass Effect, you'd still need to buy all the bits and bobs that go with it.

I have this and find it extremely good value for money. In fact if it wasn't for OA giving us BF1, I would never have bought the premium pass.

Another thread on it here with more opinions / posts: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/origin-access-comes-to-pc.18713023/

Maybe one of these threads should be renamed ***Official Origin Access Thread***? It would help having all threads in one place.

Isn't Star Wars Battlefront dead on PC at the moment? Haven't played it for quite a while, but even back then finding a game was a bit of effort.

Its not dead, I play from time to time and always get a game in about 60 secs. Its always Walker Assault mind you, but nevertheless always quick to get a game.

Main problem with the game though is the hacks, its absolutely rife. Aimbots and the particular favourite hack of the playerbase, weapon firing speed changers, I quite often encounter someone firing at 4x or more than normal speed. Last time I played someone ended the round with a 206-4 kill/death ratio and openly admitted he did it using a cheat. The company just doesnt seem to care whether people cheat or not really, so its pretty widespread now in my experience.

I signed up for this today. Really quite impressed with the games you get.
For £3.99 a month I've already got probably 9-10 games in the vault I want to play.

It is pretty great, I use the yearly 25 euros subscription and got 6 games for it I wanted to play..plus they will hopefully add Battlefront 2 in few months.
