Their quite decent against marines, its when they get marauders it becomes a problem. thats when you switch to zergling/hydra combo :)

Maybe throw in a baneling or 2!

yeah they tear Roaches up it seems...

vs Mara's and Rines, i tend to mix Ling/Roach untill i can afford to go Hydra/Ling

as Lings > Marauders and Roaches > Rines
Hydra > All :D mwuahha

Im around if anyone is up for a game

ive been playing 2v2 mostly, we managed to get into the plat league, but havent really worked with the 1v1s.
 
how many leagues are there btw? i figured bronze, silver, gold

not really come up against many decent players in silver league 1v1. not even attempted 2v2 yet, and i've onyl played with Zerg, might give the other races a try soon... but i've always been a zerg 1v1 player sooo ^^

Still no invite :(, Blizzard guy announces that there will be a day one patch to Battlenet 2.0 at release. Not sure what the significance is, release may be sooner than people expect or that the battle.net 2.0 dev's are behind schedule, maybe both?

I remember that site from years ago, friend from college (tag was something like }ToT{Midian) used to go on it. Watching him play was insane, I'd played SC before but he was something else hands moved like crazy when attacking! He came 8th in a tournament in Singapore one time - won an MP3 player IIRC, can't believe they flew him out there all expenses paid!

ToT)MidiaN( is Jamie IIRC, we made him join VdP] for a few of our clan wars etc, was aweomse playing in the NW's with him too. i only played in 2 NW's. won both my games and the 2v2's with him though

team liquid is a nice website, also played WGT a little bit as well, think i got to B rank on there in season 5/6 ? i forget, dont even know what login i used back then! lol
 
I wonder what the actual percentage chance of getting a beta invite is?
I have just registered my copy of Starcraft on battle.net in the hope I get picked.
I'm not holding my breath...
 
Can you play against AI in the beta or just real people? I fear that having a wireless connection will hinder my online playing of this.

Anyone have a free/for sale beta key they dont want?
 
From what I've found, Co-Op against AI is disabled, unless you have to rank yourself first which I have not done yet.

You can however setup a custom game against easy AI.

Otherwise there is the less err legal option. ;)

Don't play with him, he is terrible! Elchali says you have terrible micro and cant macro to save your life
 
OMG OMG OMG... After 24 hours of not being able to play this game (because the installer decided not to patch the game) I re-installed several times but it still didn't patch so I re-downloaded it again reinstalled it and "As if by magic" it patched itself and let me play.

Was it worth the wait. Absolutely ... I think this is better that SC1. Its just got all these nice little touches which are, well so bloody clever. It takes the hassle out of the Macro management so that you can focus on the Micro Management and offense.

Although... I'm still **** at the game, I really enjoy playing, and I'm sure with practice I will get better.
 
What does all this micro and macro management refer to?

Why have so many people got into the beta now, have they opened up a load more or something? I still dont have one :(
