It once started to download, got to around 40% and then failed. The other 50 or so times I have tried it just fails almost immediately.

Before somone says check your internet connection/ports. This connection is 100% solid on every single other online game I have played be that left for dead 2, bad company 2, cod 4, css, company of heroes, wow whatever... And yes of course downloads work fine normally.

I have reinstalled several times, turned off my firewall (standard windows 7 one), and restarted the game way too many times.

you should be able to download it frmo an external source.. can't post at the moment as im at work. google it and you should find the client.
 
So you have downloaded, updated, logged in to battle.net then when you go to play the error comes up? Or is it client installed but the updates are not working?
 
100% not a crack version, unless it was a cracked key?

Edit: cracked key would be impossible, as it's authenticated on my battle.net account.
 
weird, you shouldnt need to download maps to play it on bnet. im confused

EDIT: Pardon my ignorance, i hadnt even checked your screeny, ha!
i've had that a few times, just tried again and it works fine, never ever had it with ladder games though.
not sure how else to overcome.. maybe post on the bnet forums as a bug?
 
Nullvoid that dosen't work either.

Anychance someone could upload there maps and cache folder please?




How do you get into the blizz technical forums, as it says I don't have the authority to post :S

Just send me your account details to my trust, i will test the login to see if it works, let you know and you can change the password after.

I'm sure either me or someone else would do this for you unless it somehow would void their battle.net account (which im guessing it wouldnt) If it works on someone elses then its your pc. If not then its a knackered account and you can contact blizzard
 
just had my first win online. me and my ally as protoss and terran terran.

great game, 4 vs 4 will be chaos

edit - whats the key to chat? and all the general keys, theres no controls menu anywhere!

hmm, useful commands..The basic ones to remember would be:

"Enter" - Chat (note that this only talks to allies in 2v2)
"Shift-Enter" - Chat to all players (essentially use it to chat to 'all' in 2v2)
"Ctrl-#" - Assign units/structures to number #, bog standard RTS command..
"#" - select unit/structure group #, again bog standard

most units and structures also have their own build hotkeys which you can find browsing the build menus (iirc they're in brackets)
 
chaotic, i added you and indie yesterday. Invited you to play when you were on but must have been in a game or something, then i was in a game when you invited me.

Ive had 4 online games now, why is no-one playing Zerg, are they a lot weaker than Terran/Protoss? I used to love playing Zerg and its was generally more people playing Zerg/Protoss
 
i got somethin but it said nullvoid , i added you yesterday but since the battlenet reset it has gone lol . you need to relogin so i can add you again cause it said no such player this morning , yes the zerg seem weaker at first and everybody plays the protos for some reason . i had dropped to 96th place in the copper torni , strange cause i was at 9th and not played lol

ahh the reset has been done?

does that mean we're not in our normal leagues again and have to do the placement again? or just reset the games played and numbers etc?

eitherway, funfunfun :)

I should be on after the weekend, week off :) woot!
