The game is very polished and its still in the beta. I dont really play games at all any more but this i have really got into. I have played it for a lot more hours already than all three supreme commanders put together.

Its great that you can get to max tech in 30 minutes and have a all out huge war, or just rush after a few minutes for a very quick game. So many different strategies and ways of playing.

I'm glad they stuck with the 'same game in new graphics' its just what RTS games needed IMO. I hated the new 3D type graphics in things like C&C generals etc. 2D graphics works perfectly, this keeps the origional feel but adds 3d visuals which is fantastic, whilst also keeping the fast pace of great games like SC1 and Red Alert 1/2. To me the pace of supreme commander was way too long. I dont have much free time so when i play a game I dont want to wait minimum 1 hour before i can get a few units. I want to churn units out and attack or wait 10 minutes before trying to ambush. Or try a random strategy early on.

Lol begging for beta keys, so guys this game any good, loved the old C&C games until they started to screw it up but never got around to playing the first starcraft though i hear its supposed to be legendary, does this game manage to do what every other rts struggles with these days?

Yes. As below - Variety, balance and fast paced

Plus great animation, sound and graphics. The in game music is fantastic, especially the terran track. When released I think the music may be even better
 
Open beta may be soon? Just wild speculation really but Blizzard have done a deal with PC Bang (Internet/gaming shop chain) in South Korea that let them have the SC2 Beta installed and available for anyone to walk in and play. So it's pretty much open beta over there.

May have just happened so Blizzard get their foot in the door to try to dislodge their own Starcraft 1 from being the most popular game though :)

Korea is in a world of its own when it comes to SC1; it is similar to football over here with the best players getting absurd salaries. Blizzard are going to have to go all out to strike some deal with kespa so that they change from sc1 to sc2 so it is not suprising they are offering it free. I'd love to see flash using thors :D

took some time after the game to work out the tech tree a bit. anyone got a printout one?
was trying to find medevacs didn't realise that you had to build an ADVANCED structure for them. tbh that all needs to be in 1 window for building.

kreeeee tore me bits in a game earlier. :(

Scott and chaotic, sorry my pc crashed. It either doesnt like the drivers or my overclocked 5770 because the screen went grey with horizontal lines on it and froze. Works fine in every other game but ive put it back to stock settings
 
2nd game won!
he made the mistake of NOT BUILDING AN ARMY TILL I WAS ATTACKING lolz!
he had like one ghost and tried to nuke all my troops.......while they where moving!
he had LOADS of tech and spent all his time building SCV
